Kennedy's directing his anger at the wrong one, should be more pissed with the ref than anybody.
Exactly. I did not like it, but the worst thing that would have happened was a point deduction. It would not have mattered in the end. It might be a little bit of poor sportsmanship, but Big John needs to be a little more proactive there.

Cruz found some finishing power in his 3 years away
dominant **** from him tonight, good to see him back
that ref let Mizugaki take about 15-20 unnecessary shots, shame on him
Man, that was impressive. And yes, Mizugaki took way too many extra shots. I have never been a big Cruz fan, but it was good to see him back in there.

I had Alvarez/Chandler 1 as the fight of the year over Hendo/Shogun. It is one of the greatest mma fights i've seen period. The 2nd fight didn't match the first, but I'm not sure it could. It was still a fight of the year kind of fight in its own regard.
Agreed. the first one was better than the second one. The second one was a good fight, but the first one was outstanding.

The hits keep coming for Daniel Bryan.
Now he needs Tommy John surgery. smh...
Well, the good news is that he may gain a couple MPH on his fastball after surgery and rehab.

Well, that was quick. Alvarez signs with the UFC, faces Cerrone at UFC 178.
Bobby Green will be moved to another card.

Eddie Alvarez officially released from Bellator. He is now a free agent. Good for Coker; Eddie did not want to be there, so he let him go. He tried to negotiate with him, but it was a lost cause.
Assuming he comes to the UFC, who does he fight first? I would have loved to see that potential Cerrone fight, but everything took too long and the Bobby Green bout was put together. Unless Green gets hurt...wink wink.

rumors on twitter that Carano might end up signing with Bellator
If true, I can't wait to see how fast Dana buries her after trying so hard to sign her.
I never understood the recent Carano thing. I know Dana wanted her, but I doubt that a. she would make 135, and b. that she had any remote chance of beating Rousey. It would have made some money, but Rousey would have not had much trouble with Gina. I just did not have much interest at all in that fight.
Oh yeah, and War Machine is trash.

more in the link
The fight game is host to a bunch of despicable individuals, Josh Grispi making his case for the top spot.
Yeah, I saw that yesterday. There were a few details that were pretty stunning to read. He needs to be locked away for a while.

Did he say something else? Maybe john wall committed the sin of wearing a hat backwards.
Yeah, apparently he said something else today. I saw the headline on Deadspin, but I can't bring myself to click on it. Because Cowherd is a trolling d-bag, and I feel like I probably already know what he said.

Strokes- I can't watch this until tonight (I'm at work) but thanks for posting!

Jones and Cormier just had a healthy spat on Fox Sports Live. They were in seperate studios, Cormier was yappin away while Jones got progressively more and more frustrated and pissed off. By the end he couldn't sit still, and was shaking with anger. Walked off the set as Florian wrapped up the segment. Good stuff.
Damn, I forgot about that. I meant to DVR it.

Only guy I'm not familiar with is Dominick Cruz. Who is THAT guy?! Is that the dude who used to dance in the blue cage?
Hahahahahahaha. The somewhat smaller blue cage.
And yeah, I saw that cut Jones had. Looked pretty nasty; I think we are lucky we are about seven weeks out instead of two weeks out.

So have you guys heard about the latest Eddie Alvarez situation? That he may be on the outs at Bellator and fighting Cerrone at UFC 178?
Could Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez be UFC bound? According to Sherdog.com, a bout between Alvarez and Donald Cerrone is being targeted for UFC 178 Sept. 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sources close to the bout who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the matchup had not yet been finalized confirmed the news to Sherdog.com. The bout is contingent on the UFC acquiring Alvarez's services from Bellator. Negotiations are ongoing because Alvarez currently remains under Bellator contract at the time of this writing. This one has some tweets from Helwani: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2147295-report-eddie-alvarez-joins-ufc-faces-donald-cerrone-at-ufc-178
If this happens, on paper this will be the best card we have seen in a long time, IMO.
Jones-Cormier
McGregor-Poirier
Green-Masvidal
Cruz-Mizugaki
Kennedy-Romero
A few other solid fights and then possibly Alvarez-Cerrone? Take my money.

Damn I'm excited for this fight but I'm pretty sure Nick Diaz is going to get his **** pushed in.
Same here, and same here.

The fact that Joe Riggs had a UFC fight scheduled in 2014, is kind of disturbing.
Yeah, I usually keep up with MMA news pretty well, and I had no idea Riggs was back in the UFC. And I like Joe Riggs. I saw the end of the headline on ESPN.com "...out of UFC fight after shooting" out of the corner of my eye, and I was very perplexed to see that first word was "Riggs."

And I think there should be several wrestling companies with tv contracts.
Not to derail the conversation, but I always wondered why ROH could not get a better deal than the sporadic syndication one they have now. ROH does not have the greatest stable of talent, but its not bad and they seem like a pretty well run company with a pretty solid following. I know they had a short run on HDNet, but I always wondered why they did not end up somewhere else.

Trust me, I know. We can start with the re-hiring of Russo. Again, what's the fascination with this guy?
And the fact that they tried to keep it a secret; apparently they knew it was not the best of ideas when they made the decision to bring him back. Its like when I was a teenager and trying to hide things from my parents. I knew I had done something dumb, but I did not want anyone to know. In this case, the parents found out and they did not approve.

There's better networks out there than SpikeTV. Heck, MTV would even be better.
Sure MTV would be better, but I have a hard time believing they would have any interest. I am sure TNA will end up somewhere, mainly because there are about 1,000 channel options at this point. But I don't see them ending up at a network with more visibility than Spike. It is good that they have a little time to figure it out, but I can't see them ending up in a better spot. There just is not enough demand.
I like TNA, and have been a fairly frequent watcher since almost day one with the weekly PPVs. But man, they have made so many questionable decisions over the years. This news sucks because I feel like the quality has been better recently, but it might not matter soon.

WM isn't coming here.
In March, it is like what 40-50 degrees outside? That would get ugly real fast
I say have it at the DC Armory. I mean, it was a great venue for WCW Capital Combat.

Mid 90s, teal and gold were hot colors. Think of how many teams (especially expansion teams) in the four major sports that had teal or gold in them.
Those were dark days.

Here are the Wizards' new navy blue alternate uniforms. Thoughts? http://wapo.st/1qyf2gD pic.twitter.com/zqbpX07AK0
Not too much of a departure from the normal uniform, but I like them. I am like Chachie, I am all in with anything that has blue as the primary color. I will definitely be picking up a pair of those shorts.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Wizards more than the Redskins next season
Am I alone in this?
I am close. I love the Wiz, but the Redskins, for better or worse are my first love. I will say that every year, I debate getting NBA League Pass so I can watch more Wizards games and I decide not to more often than not. But it is not even a question this year. Most of my weeknights will be spent with a few cold ones and the sweet sounds of Steve and Phil.

Thats the shocking part, Ernie is making solid moves to improve the team short-term while keeping his option open in case Durant really wants to come home.
I am starting to question my entire belief system.

That's such an empty point. There are so many things that go on in college recruiting that you can't draw anything significant from where someone goes to school. There could be people that steer someone to a certain school, or it could be a simple as someone that wants to leave home for college and then regrets it quickly thereafter. That is someone that is looking for something to cling to.
