  1. Future, Kai Cenat and Chick-Fil-A: How Wizards rookie Bilal Coulibaly is adjusting to the NBA Wembanyama There are plenty of stats to show how unprecedented Wembanyama's rookie season is, but perhaps most remarkable is his 32% usage rate, the highest on record for a qualifying rookie since player turnovers were first tracked in 1977-78, according to Stathead.com. Wemby has surpassed Luka Doncic's 30.5% as another veteran of professional basketball in Europe, with Michael Jordan in fifth at 30%. We've seen MVP Joel Embiid (36%!) carry an even heavier load in a shortened season, but Wembanyama is doing so night in and night out, a process that should accelerate his development as it did for Doncic -- an All-NBA first-team pick in his second season.
  2. Maybe Williams will lit'up the combine ? If not, then trade down with the Vikings who might part ways with their greedy 35 years old QB, get McCarthy and a few 1st and 2nd rounders.
  3. Jedi mind tricks since he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology in order to design brand new porta potties as a Vi-Pee of flushing operations. Wright ?
  4. He picked the Panthers as his surprise team in 2023 ! I don't know his credibility about draft picks evaluation though.
  5. I believe she had very interesting stories to tell from her life back in the days. I've got a Czech/Slovak friend she sometimes bring me back this from the country. She's a former dancer at Crazy Horse in Paris.
  6. I want to trust this FO, so far they're nailing it all across the board. If I'm not mistaken the final piece of the puzzle will be added after the draft when they'll be able to beef up the scouting department. I'd like to hear this FO about the draft selection, especially when scouts' evaluations are split 50/50 about a player. What is their grading system ? How do they value certain traits over others such as stats, character, game film, football IQ, strength,...... For example if they're split between a physical "freak" with below average football IQ and an average physical player with a superior football IQ.
  7. Not all science : In a 2008 paper in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, Kuzmits and Adam wrote that "using correlation analysis, we find no consistent statistical relationship between combine tests and professional football performance, with the notable exception of sprint tests for running backs."
  8. Discriminant Function Analysis Reveals Which Combination of Measures from the NFL scouting Combine Predict NFL Performance
  9. I read that he has problems with his pocket presence and footwork and brings sacks on himself. "A big problem for a lot of young quarterbacks is how they deal with pressure. Maye had a 19.6% pressure-to-sack rate last season, which is on the higher side of where you would like your quarterback to be. For example, the best quarterbacks in the NFL hover right around a 10-15% rate of turning pressure into sacks. It’s an area Maye will need to improve on to be successful. There are still too many moments of him scrambling into pressure that then turn into sacks."
  10. Kingsbury was asked what he looks for in a quarterback and joked, “The Chiefs quarterback.” Kingsbury coached Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech. “No. I do think the game as you can see. . . . You watch those guys at the end like when the money is on the table, you’ve got to be able to make some plays with your feet, move around enough to escape a bad play,” Kingsbury said I'm wondering if he's writing off Drake Maye from his list at pick 2 ?
  11. Lance Newmark from inside the den series. Since he had a role in both pro and college scouting, maybe he'll share some infos about a few draft prospects to complement our own evaluations. The Washington Commanders have been building an elite coaching staff and added more talent to the front office on Wednesday. The Super Bowl is over and while the Kansas City Chiefs are celebrating back-to-back championships they have the same 2024 record as every other team, even the Washington Commanders. And like every other team in the NFL, the Commanders are busy plotting their course to the top of the league looking for the most expeditious route possible. This effort has led to the addition of several highly regarded coaches to coach Dan Quinn's staff in Washington which now includes several Dallas Cowboys transfers including the head coach himself. But the team isn't stopping at coaches, adding Lance Newmark to the executive group on Wednesday to be general manager (GM) Adam Peters' assistant GM. “I am thrilled to welcome Lance Newmark to the Washington Commanders,” said Peters. “Lance is someone that I have known and respected in the scouting community my entire career. He is a highly respected talent evaluator and a great leader who will fit perfectly into what we’re building here in Washington. I want to thank Brad Holmes and the Lions organization for being first-class in working with us on the process of bringing Lance to the DMV. Lance is a phenomenal person, and he will immediately elevate our overall personnel function here at the Commanders. It is my absolute pleasure to welcome Lance and his family to Washington.” Newmark comes to the Commanders from the Lions who just this year made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game before falling to the eventual Super Bowl losing San Francisco 49ers. According to a press release from the team Newmark has served in numerous roles, all of them leading to his direct influence and involvement in building one of the fastest-rising teams in the NFL. Newmark says he's looking to bring all of the lessons he's learned in that process with him to Washington, D.C. “I could not be more excited about joining the Washington Commanders organization,” said Newmark. “I have tremendous respect for Adam and believe strongly in him, and in his vision for this franchise. I cannot wait to join Adam, Coach Quinn, and the rest of the organization this week in the DMV. It was very clear in this process that Josh Harris is extremely committed to running a first-class organization and building a championship-caliber football team, which made this opportunity very special. His passion for returning this franchise to greatness is clear. I will always be thankful for my time in Detroit and cannot say enough good things about the Lions organization. I sincerely appreciate them allowing me to pursue this exciting opportunity in Washington.”
  12. This is the one I don't get, I hope Peters or Quinn will address this hire in an upcoming interview. There's gotta be a reason. Giants fans are piling up on him on x.

  15. I wish him success especially concerning what he said "avoid rince and repeat" from the Falcons debacle. I really don't want him to choke again ala Mar Levy or Kyle. It's going to take a few years, I would say pending on good draft choices 3 years to be relevant again, and 5 to become a serious playoff contender/SB winner.
