  2. 2024 NFL mock draft: Scouts predict the top 10 picks 2. Washington Commanders Projected pick from an AFC national scout: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina Here's the first surprise of the mini-mock, with our scout assigned to the No. 2 pick opting for Maye over LSU's Jayden Daniels. Maye is No. 9 on my board, while Daniels is No. 5 overall. "Maye has more upside," said the scout. "I question Daniels' ability to play in condensed spaces." Another consideration for the scout making the pick? Maye's ability to make throws with pressure in his face and absorb the impact of free pass-rushers in the North Carolina passing game. He threw 10 touchdown passes (tied for seventh in the nation) when pressured in 2023. Maye (6-foot-4, 223 pounds) is often compared to Justin Herbert, and his vertical passing ability would no doubt fit well with wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson in Washington.
  3. I think he is exagerating, but I must confess his ceiling is high. This is him talking about Pop. (in english)
  4. I like him, he could be a steal. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2023/12/28/cam-hart-scouting-report-nfl-draft-2024

  6. 2024 NFL draft quarterback projections: Stats and more Drake Maye, North Carolina Consensus Big Board: 2 Mean Projection 0.03 TDYAR/A Bust (< 0 TDYAR/A) 49.2% I'm shocked ! Last year they had Richardson with a bust rate of 80.5% C.J Stroud bust : 45.4% Bryce Young bust : 38.3% Will Levis bust : 68.3%
  7. FWIW Washington Commanders Top picks: Nos. 2, 36, 40 Do the Commanders have an early lean on which QB they'd want to take at No. 2? The Commanders have been tight-lipped, so it's hard to say if they have a true lean. But what is clear is that most of the coaches I've spoken with, as well as ex-coaches who still study prospects, say it should be LSU's Jayden Daniels -- and none have said North Carolina's Drake Maye should be picked over him. Perhaps one clue: Coach Dan Quinn said, among other things, he wants someone who can handle when coverages change post-snap, and he said Daniels "processes things quickly." And that's in addition to his ability to make big plays with his legs. -- John Keim What we're hearing about the Commanders' draft: Yeah, it's widely accepted at this point that the Commanders will draft a quarterback at No. 2 -- the question is which one. When I asked a dozen NFL scouts and executives about the selection, I kept hearing that Daniels is the most likely pick. That intel, of course, is from people outside the Commanders' organization, so take it with a grain of salt, but it sounds like many people around the league believe the reigning Heisman Trophy winner will follow Williams off the board. -- Miller
  8. Von der Leyen had erased all data from her cell phone as an investigative committee of the Bundestag, the German parliament, sought to shed light on contracts with consultants during her tenure. Frédéric Baldan, the 35-year-old Belgian citizen who filed a complaint against Ursula von der Leyen in the so-called SMSGate affair, is he the subject of retaliation by the European Commission? His accreditation as a professional lobbyist was withdrawn last June by an inscrutable “Transparency Secretariat”, for obscure reasons. An event revealing the functioning of institutions and administrations, those of the EU, which no longer work except for themselves, in the interest of those who direct them and by exempting themselves from the rules of law that they themselves decreed. (G translated) European prosecutors take over Belgian probe into Pfizergate EU stonewalls over von der Leyen’s role in multibillion-euro Pfizer vaccine deal The contract was significant both in terms of volume and price. According to leaked details, shots cost €15.50 each at first, with the price then hiked to €19.50 according to the Financial Times, meaning the contract would be worth around €35 billion if fully exercised. “It is the biggest COVID-19 vaccine contract signed by the Commission and will dominate the EU’s vaccine portfolio until the end of 2023,” the court notes. Pfizer did not respond to a request for comment for this story.
  9. I don't remember a player as ever won ROY and DPOY during his rookie season, unfortunately I think they'll give it to Gobert.
