  1. This is what Im talking about with the hypocrisy

Arum acknowledged problems with the landscape; with outdated, flawed testing procedures, especially for smaller fights; with no national commission to set policy; and with varied policies among the state commissions.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12/10/sports/marquez-pacquiao-result-a-knockout-leaves-much-unanswered.html?smid=fb-share

if thats the case, why not do a USADA testing like Floyd requested? :ols:

  2. Yes, I do believe JMM was taking something. But why are you Floyd fans so happy Pacquiao lost? Didn't you want to see Pacquiao and Floyd in the ring?

I am not happy that Pacquaio lost. I am happy by how bad Pacquiao fans are taking it.

If Pacquiao fans were rational and reasonable, then nothing would be funny.

  3. Just wondering so I don't have to waste my time debating with a couch boxer who's only knowledge of the sport comes from watching it on TV.

I have been in gyms and know boxers. I havent boxed myself.

No one has put a gun to your head and told you to stay here and talk. If you dont want to, you can leave.

Did Floyd hit a new low when he accused Pacquiao? Dude accomplished something he could never do when he was younger and that is put Pacquiao down not once, but twice? What would any of you say if Pacquiao's strength coach had balco ties? You would say Floyd was justified? If anyone is suspicious of Barry Bonds, how can you not be suspicious of JMM? Bigger shoulders, bigger arms, bigger traps and more power than he ever had before. At the age of 39.

The irony of this post.... DM72 has accused Marquez of using PEDs.

Also, so did Roach a few weeks ago. You need to get over this loss. You have gone batty.

That's why I know most of the Floyd supporters on here that are having a field day with clowning Pac never set foot in a ring and have absolutely no experience in the sport.

    Manny got KTFO.

I have tremendous amount of respect for Manny and what he has done. I am a big fan of his too. The pictures are more to make fun of his fans, not Manny. I have never said a bad word about Manny's heart or status in the sport. He is a complete legend.

What that has to do with this conversation, I have no idea.

  4. Let me ask you a serious question. Have you ever laced up a pair a of gloves and boxed before?

    relevance?

I just don't like the stupidity of Floyd fans claiming this proves Floyd would have won without ever getting in the ring with him.

Y'all laughing and gloating as if Floyd won the fight. That's what's pathetic. But I will say this, in a way, Pac got what he deserved. He didn't have to fight him a 4th time no matter how much JMM begged for a rematch. He got his hand raised 2 out of the 3 times they fought.

Ive BEEN claiming Floyd would win a fight vs. Manny. Ever since it was proposed, I knew he would win. Why? Because Manny is a reckless fighter who is always open to counterpunchers. He has dominated guys who have a straight forward, rush in style, but has looked shaky against fighters who move a bit and has issues with counterpunchers. Marquez is a great counterpuncher, but Floyd is the best in boxing.

And the gloating isnt as if FLoyd won the fight. The gloating is more about hurt Pac fans like yourself who propped up the guy as a superhero only to see him get punished

  5. Even though the players arent English, and neither are most of the managers, they still do play a very English style. You can tell by watching how some of these teams play in Europe vs the premier league. In Europe, they often have to play a slower and possession oriented game whereas in England its more helter skelter.

In saying that, even tho Chelsea won it last year and United made the final in 2011, the English clubs are not as strong as they were in the mid noughties. Not anywhere close. 2 teams out in the group stage of CL for the 2nd straight year, and neither United or Arsenal have the quality to beat the best teams in Europe in the KO rounds. This has been the trend since the summer Cronaldo was sold to Madrid, the league has gotten weaker considerably. None of the teams can defend anymore and midfield play is nonexistant. Its exciting football, but its not the best league in the world in terms of strong teams anymore.

  6. That's exactly why Pac/JMM 3 happened. They believed it would be an easy fight and Manny could close out the serious impressively. Instead it exposed the flaws in Pacquiao and why he was never going to beat Floyd.

I honestly can't remember the last time where I didn't think Floyd would win a fight comfortably (being honest with myself, because even though I don't really like Floyd, he is a great fighter).

Honestly, if I were facing Floyd, I'd keep hammering his arms to make him get out of that crab. Don't care if I had to sacrifice 3-4 rds doing it. He is one of the best defensive fighters I've ever seen. Dude is like Fort Knox. I think that's the only way to beat him, unless a fighter with brute force/speed that could relentlessly put pressure on him by crowding him (and could counter his counter punches) comes along.

I think the jab is the best bet. He doesn't defend that well against a good jab.

  7. Broner would beat all the above. Thos guys have been in too many battles to beat that kind of talent at this point. And I'm not all the surprised Manny lost to be honest. I was hoping he he would win but I saw it coming. The way he fights and the competition he was fighting, he was bound to lose. And don't be happy. If Floyd don't cherry pick another opponent, his time IS coming. Just wait and see.

I will ask you again, who has Broner beaten? Name me one guy who would make the top 10 P4P. Just one guy.

You say Floyd cherry picks, yet cant name a quality opponent Broner has beaten. You are mad, get over it.

    ---------- Post added December-9th-2012 at 02:35 AM ----------

I'm not big into boxing or anything but I like Pacquiao.

It's funny to see the Mayweather fans come in gloating after Pac got KO'ed. It's like Cowboys fans gloating after the Redskins lose to a team that isn't the Cowboys.

    ok cool bud

    ---------- Post added December-9th-2012 at 02:37 AM ----------

And the Broner bandwagon has begun.

JMM stated before the fight, ' I am looking to knock him out'.

He knew what he had to do...and I had him losing also at that point...but wow.

Skip that trip. The set up is JMM and May or Pac vs. May,,,,either way...fights I will look forward to.

I expected Pac to lose tonight.

I feel like Pac is like De La Hoya. I never thought he was great either. He was very good...but not great.

I thought Pac would lose but the judges would give him the fight like last year. Never saw that KO coming.

And Broner is legit. I have no problem with people jumping on that bandwagon, just dont say ridiculous things like he hte best boxer in the world when he hasnt beaten anyone great yet.

  8. Goodnight everyone

    ---------- Post added December-9th-2012 at 02:08 AM ----------

Tell me who would beat him from 135-147.

    Floyd, Pac, Marquez...

Lets see him against Matthysse as well

Broner got big time talent, but he hasnt beaten anyone yet. You are syching him because Manny died and you mad.

    ---------- Post added December-9th-2012 at 02:09 AM ----------

    :ols:..I KNOW you aint talking.

I read your last post in that thread. I wont even respond cuz its absurd.

  9. You gotta be kidding. I know this is a day Floyd and his followers have been waiting for, but let's not sit here and act as if Broner is just another fighter. He DOES NOT get hit a lot. His defense might not quite be on Floyd's level, but he DOES not get hit a lot. The kid is the next big thing.

dawg, I get it. you are hurt right after seeing Manny hit that canvas. I get it. I understand it. Its ok.

I never said Broner is just another fighter, I think he is an amazing young fighter. But you said he is the best fighter in the world. Dude hasnt beaten a single p4p fighter yet, and you said he is the best in the world. You are upset, so I will give you a pass for what you are typing.

  10. Broener is basically Floyd Mayweather the 3rd. The difference between the two is that Floyd's defense is still better than Broener's. Broener gets hit A LOT more than Floyd does, even today. You are just hating at this point, and you know it.

You have a better case with Ward than Broener

  11. Considering JMM's "new" strength coach has ties to steroids.

the same coach he had for last year's fight too. Did JMM test positive for anything last year?

yeah ok... People being hypocrites here, I get it.

  12. So in your opinion a bone will heal as quickly by walking/dancing on it, not sleeping right, and dumping massive amounts of alcohol into your body?

I didnt say that. I said there isnt much he can do to speed up the process except for not putting too much stress on his knee.

I mean following the team around and flying could potentially do more damage too, or it could do nothing.

A bone is a bone. You have to wait for it to get healed. Its not nitpicking, its more of a "there isnt much he can do."

  13. I don't know if he was drinking or even when this took place. What I said was that poor sleep schedules and drinking does not aid healing. If it does anything it sets healing back and detracts from overall health.

he has a stress fracture. There isnt much he can do except not strain himself physically.

It would be different if he had a muscle, joint, or ligament injury where he had to do actual rehab to build up that area of his body.

You cant do much about a bone except wait for it to heal.

  14. Is that really a problem? A player enjoying the club? If he puts in the work, I don't really care. I mean it's not like Magic got the HIV spending 24 hours in the gym everyday. Jordan gambling exploits in casinos are legendary. And I don't think I need to say anything more that Barkley name.

you're upset at the wrong person. I legit do not care. He is 22 years old, in Atlanta and out with Keri Hilson and Tika Sumpter and Dania Ramirez

    13549719131c770df3ef503.jpg

as long as homes is working on his form and studying tape, and not getting into trouble, let him live his life.

And Ive been in a club with Wall before, dude is usually chilled out in VIP. He isnt getting into trouble like Blatche did.

    http://i.mediatakeout.com/photo/13549719131c770df3ef.jpg

    LOLOLOLOL

*edit* as long as his fondness for nightlife doesn't interfere w/ his play on the court (Blatche), I got no problem w him having fun. He's 22.

yeah, I dont care at all. I feel the people who do care are a little green with envy that he doing it and they cant.

    ---------- Post added December-8th-2012 at 03:31 PM ----------

Is he clubbing now or last year? I don't care about last year. If he's partying it up now that's problematic. Rehab and healing isn't aided by consuming vast amounts of booze and having a terrible sleep schedule. Perception is also something pros need to manage and getting smashed at the wee hours of the morning do not scream "working hard to get back".

it was last night. Who says he is drinking?

And Wall has a fracture. Sleeping 10 hours a day is not going to heal a fractured bone. :ols:

I am talkin about hitting the gym and working on your weakness shooting jump shot after jumpsuit trying too improve your craft.

I agree with this, but the point I always make is how do we know he isnt?

Partying at a club for 2-3 hours is only 2-3 hours. How do we not know he isnt working on those things during the day? I know it was just a light shoot around, but his jumper looked a lot more improved in that video that was posted last week, than it had in the past. A lot better because he was missing jumpers in light workouts before as well.
