  1. I could see some Zbo in Zeller but he doesn't have that kind of strength and physicality. I see some LaMarcus Aldridge in playing style but he doesn't have Aldridge's awesome arm length. I see some Pau Gasol too with the highly skilled finesse style but not the same handles as Gasol. I agree about him not being like Love. He is longer and leaner and much more of an inside scorer and he doesn't rebound like Love.

I also agree that you take Shabbaz #1. He's the best player in the class. That's the reason you do it IMO.

Zeller is a little wider than Aldridge is. I do agree about the strength thing with comparing him to ZBo, but Zeller has the frame to fill out like ZBo has.

I think he good, but I cant see dude being a great NBA player

Shabazz is the #1 player for me regardless. He has an NBA body and can handle. My only concern for dude is that he can be a black hole

Seen every MD game this year and Len hasn't cooled off at all. His numbers are suppressed because Mark Turgeon is using different lineup combinations.

    Trying to integrate freshman etc,

I think you'll see his numbers rise when the Terps get to conference play.

I cannot wait to see him take a dump on Plumlee. He was doing it last year to Plumlee, and Len was weaker.

The ACC just dont know, he is the best big man in conference.

I would like to see that because I like Len's physical profile better than all of the other bigs except for Noel probably. He's a true 7 footer and is already 255. I do want to know why he didn't really do anything as a freshman though. Where did this year come from?

Len was like 210 lbs last year and it was his first year in America. Everyone knew he had the talent, just not the body.

  2. Unless, as has been in evidence at numerous junctures in this thread without any encouragement, the players name happens to be Gerrard. ;)

    Hail.

actually no, I mention Gerrard because of the sanctimoniousness comments about him saying he doesnt dive and "would have a word with Torres" if he does from the past, while ignoring that he is a serial diver.

But my ire has been more pointed at Suarez. IIRC, some of your fellow Liverpool fans couldnt understand why he wasnt getting legit foul calls. I mentioned why (his lunges) and it went nuclear.

Ive gone at Bale too, who may have actually passed Suarez for diving this season.

Rooney's dives ended the greatest English team in history' unbeaten run, so I will go at him irrationally.

Like I said before tho, I have no issue with diving because I KNOW Arsenal players do it. I actually encourage it so that we can get more penalties since the refs ignore the real fouls that happen to Arsenal players in the penalty area.

  3. Zeller is bigger than Love.

Love knows how the ball bounces off the rim and knows how to get it. Its pretty uncanny, i have never seen that from Zeller.

I have to watch Zeller more to get a better NBA comparison, but off gut he reminds me of ZBo with more bounce.

If the Wizards get teh #1 pick, I would take Shabazz. Im convinced he will be better in the NBA than at UCLA like every other player that has played there under Ben Howland.

  4. I dont care about diving at all, until a coach or fan tries to pretend their players dont do it or make an excuse for it. Thats when I comment. The sanctimoniousness of it all.

And I wish Arsenal players dived more, we rarely get any penalty calls despite having the most touches in the penalty area every year,

  5. You're not bringing him here for his scoring. He's only taking four shots a game. You bring him here because he's tough, smart, rebounds, and is efficient with limited minutes. He's a rah rah boost off the bench and he will play defense.

    he friggin sucks

he isnt even a "glue" guy because he cant guard anyone.

Bynum? hell nah, he good but if we complaining about knuckleheads I would rather not sign someone who trying to be Silky the Pimp from '75

He tries hard tho, lets give him a MLE because he tries.

    Microfracture surgery= Gilbert Arenas.

there were a serious of mess ups that lead to Gil getting the microfracture.

but yeah, if Wall has microfracture we may as well just give up on dude.

  6. McGee was not dependable and he was a poisonous presence on the team.

Nene has plantar fasciitis and we were playing our fourth game in five days. A game off was in order.

    thats a big extra

he tried hard, he was just an idiot. And yes, I remember Wittman benching McGee last season for his stupidity.

Blatche was a poisonous presence. Gilbert was a poisonous presence. McGee was just a try hard idiot.

  7. One of my tweets about that fight made it on the broadcast, I'm big time now. :ols:

Angulo was lucky that boy wasn't a real 154lb'er or a puncher. He hit Angulo clean and hard several times. Angulo is what he is, put him in with somebody who can punch, he likely gets stopped again.

    haha, props.

Yeah, I dont rate Angulo highly at all, but he is such a hard puncher.

Inherent difference being the run to Istanbul was far from lucky, particularly in the knock-out stages. A very good Leverkusen and Juventus side brushed aside without any trouble, and then the newly crowned English Champions restricted to one chance over two legs in a semi that was far more comfortable than just the 1-0 aggregate scoreline. No question they got lucky as all heck in Istanbul. But meh, we deserved to win in Athens, so it leveled out. And I know which one I'd of rather won the way it played out.

Chelsea, last year, in both FA Cup and Champions League, save for the 2nd leg Barca semi, had more luck go their way since Utd in '99. But at least that was a quality Utd side. Last years Chelsea side, not so much.

Ironically, that World Club final back in 2005 was one of Rafa's best games. Utterly dominant (something like 25-30 shots on goal to 2 or 3), but they took one so fair play to Sao Paulo. As the aforementioned '05 and '07 finals are examples of, the better team doesn't always get what they deserve.

Chelsea were far from dominant earlier today in Japan.

Not much comparison as regards luck in either season in the whole picture.

    Hail.

so we are just going to ignore Luis Garcia's "goal" in the 2nd leg of that semifinal?

Who were Chelsea lucky against? They beat Napoli in the round of 16 after being down 3-1 and firing AVB.

They beat Benfica rather comfortably in the next round.

And then they got by the "best team to ever play football" in Barcelona to reach the final.

Then they beat Bayern at Bayern. Their run had the standard breaks of any other team to reach the final. I have no idea why you would call them the luckiest team to ever win the CL, especially when Liverpool in 2005 have an even greater case. Again, I wouldnt have said a word about it were it not for you throwing shade at their accomplishment. The LAST thing I want to do is defend Chelsea, but they were definitely worthy champions. :ols:

  9. Donnaire sent Arce into retirement, lol. I want to see him against Abner Mares or Riggendeaux.

Khan beat up on a souped up lightweight last night in Carlos Molina. Khan probably gained some confidence, but he still has a lot of the same flaws. Molina, despite not having any power, rocked Khan a few times. Khan's handspeed can be so alluring but its wasted on him.

Deontay Wilder dropped a crucial right hook that KO'd Kelvin Price in a HW fight. 26 KOs in his 26 fights is impressive, but he needs to fight someone better.

And Alfredo Angulo vs. Jorge Silva was such a brutal slugfest. When Angulo is ripping his punches, they make me wince, but Silva stood up to him. Showed a lot of heart.

  10. Your obsession is bizarrely endearing. ;)

    Hail.

I dont know how its obsession when Liverpool were very lucky to get win the '05 CL. I wouldnt have mentioned it if you hadnt called Chelsea's title lucky.

And just like Liverpool in 2005, Chelsea got that work handed to them in Japan..

  11. That reminds me.

Good luck Corinthians against the rent boy's tomorrow. AKA the luckiest team yet to be representing Europe in this game/ tourny.

    Hail.

    since 2005

  12. With defending like that I'd fancy my chances.

    Hail.

nah, you guys are crap. Ive been watching him play throughout the season. He is big, strong, fast, great touch, good finisher too.

He has the tools to be a top striker, imo, Villa got him for a good price and will make a lot of money for him soon, imo.

  13. McGee wasnt playing bad here. He was just made a scapegoat. People saw a lanky tall guy with suspect facial expressions' date=' and that was that.[/quote']

he was a scapegoat, but the real deal was the Wizards were going to have to pay him a stupid contract in the coming seasons.

It may work for denver where they are a solid team, with solid vets, but it was never going to work out here.
