    The Allen/Beasley show crushed us today. Wait until Mahomes/Kelce gets a crack at our defense. As for Chase, if he is to be criticized for today's performance, what should we be saying about Sweat? I don't recall hearing his name called once. Was he even dressed?

    Forgot about that. Now I'm even more pissed off about this abortion of a game.

    TH didn't want the defense to feel so bad about their terrible performance, so he's matching them step for step. He is showing that his ceiling isn't very high, no matter how gutsy he is. Fitzpatrick will take his job back once his hip is better, and then the search will be on for a real QB to start next season.

    Where in my post did I give them credit for anything? I was pointing out that they are supposed to be the best part of the D, and when they play like this (poorly) we haven't got anyone in the backfield who can do anything.

    We've got 4 1st round defensive linemen and nothing behind them. So if they aren't getting pressure, or if a runner gets through the line, there is nothing stopping opposing offenses from having their way with our defense.

    Look at how Josh Allen is playing, and then reconsider your assessment of Heineke's performance. Yeah, he's got guts, but Allen (3 TDs, 0 INTs) is making playing the position look like a walk in the park.

    Chase Young tended to disappear occasionally when he was at Ohio State, but was usually a force to be reckoned with. This season, it's like he's pulling his disappearing act every game.

    Because those young guys with limited experience aren't going to know how to repair a franchise's broken culture. That's what RIvera and his team are here for. If you're expecting Superbowl glory (or even a deep playoff run) this season, you might want to think about finding other ways to spend your weekends. Once the culture is fixed, if the record still isn't good, then we can think about bringing in some fresh faces.

    Coming on here to blast this team for wasting another one of my Sundays, and as I log on we score. And now we recover a fumble!

    I really like Taylor. His heart really impressed me in the playoff game last year, but tonight he showed it was more than just a Rocky Balboa underdog moment. He really does know what he's doing out there. My concern is his durability, but tonight they didn't let him take too many hits. If they protect him and he has some time, he could really do some good things this season.

    In '98 we had an all first rounder D line that wasn't good either. Not sure which one is worse.

    Exactly. Having a bunch of 1st rounders starting doesn't mean they are elite.

    WJIII was supposed to be the best move in free agency, according to a lot of sources. Someone forgot to tell WJIII...
