  1. No they're not.  Harden had a great year, but no one considered Houston a serious contender.  They're as big a fraud as Atlanta is.    Memphis was without Conley for some games.  The Cavs were without JR Smith for 2 games against the Bulls and were still adjusting to not having Love.  The Spurs and Clippers were the only true threats to GS and they avoided them both.  Pelicans would of taken a game against the Cavs?  Yeah right.

    I'll play here...

Spurs and Clips were the only 2 threats. So that means:

Clips were better than the Spurs since they beat them

Rockets better than Clips, who beat the Spurs

Warriors better than Rockets, who beat the Clips, who beat the Spurs

But the Warriors aren't as good because they didn't play the Clips and Spurs?

    Is that what we're doing?

  2. I agree Springy and Ix.  Gotta pay to watch it :(

That's why you follow my advice in the DirecTV thread and you get satellite for $62/month which includes Sunday Ticket!!

  3. Agreed...although, I think it was his team of handlers who put that whole thing together.

Even with "The Decision," if that's the worst that we can say about him off the court, then he's OK.  LOL

Oh agreed. Compared to what we've seen recently from other athletes, LeBron is a saint.

  4. Still a long way to go in his career, but Lebron has been scandal-free off the court since day 1.  His mom has had dustups, but Lebron has proven to be a good family man, a voice on certian social issues, etc.

Seems like a overall good dude.

Other than "The Decision", he's pretty much handled everything perfectly.

  5. Yeah, just looked at the NBA League Pass and it's only available through a cable/satellite provider (at least that's all I could find).  As far as MLB, I can pay $119 and get the entire season through Apple TV (no service provider required).

Only thing about that is in Charlotte, the Braves, Nats, O's and Reds are subject to blackout.  Horrible.  We don't have a MLB team, I don't think I should have other teams blacked out.  How in the hell are the Reds, O's and Nats blacked out to me.

Braves, well, I get that somewhat, but still, 4 hours away.  I should be able to get all the games.  What makes even less sense is the majority of these games are played on a cable/satellite channel (Fox Sports South, etc.) and not regular local channels.

So, I can get the Braves game on FSS by paying for regional sports package on DTV, but I can't watch the home games via MLB TV app because I live 4 hours away.

Yup none of that makes any sense.

I really thought when WWE came out with their own online streaming, that we'd start to see other sport leagues do the same. MLB is the closest right now with MLB.tv, but there's still limitations.

Sports really is the main reason for most people to still have cable/satellite. Until the sports leagues start offering better streaming choices, people will be hard pressed to cut the cord.

  6. Good article, thanks for sharing. That team was a mess but I remember watching them a lot that year. They really could have been special but just had too much going on in addition to injuries to really hit their potential

Agreed. That was my Sr year of HS. I was a huge Kobe fan back then, so I was really happy to see them add Malone and Payton. So much potential for that team, but between the Kobe trial, the Kobe/Shaq relationship, Phil's contract, injuries, and needing time for the new additions to gel, they just couldn't put it all together.

  7. RT @dsson Would the Wizards have beaten the Cavs? Maybe—probably—not. But they sure wouldn't have gotten swept either. #dcRising #NBAPlayoffs

I always love when people say stupid stuff like this. Is that supposed to make Wiz fans feel better?

"Guys, I know we lost to the Hawks, but at least we wouldn't been swept by the Cavs!"

  8. Did anybody stick around for the post credits Bumper scene in Pitch Perfect 2? It doesn't relate to the story any and it's pretty goofy but it was funny. He pretty much just out of nowhere pops up on The Voice as a contestant and tries to win the judges over. Shelton hits the button first to turn around then almost immediately hits it again to go back lol

I didn't know it was there but we were just waiting for the theater to clear out and it popped up so we got lucky.

    Totally missed that

  9. Had some Flying Dog Numero Uno last night. Hadn't seen it anywhere before. It's like a cross between a Cornoa and a Bud Light Lime. Not as bitter as a Cornoa without lime, but not as sweet as a BLL. You can get a hint of lime in it. Pretty solid and makes for a good summer beer.

  10. funny, I'm ripping out a deck to put in a patio.

Patios > decks, not even close

If you have ugly concrete, put pavers over top.  You will be MUCH happier with that than a deck.  Decks are truly awful.

I put a paver patio in last Summer. Really wasn't hard to do and the nice part is, if in a few years I want to add onto it, it's pretty simple to do.
