If by you, you mean not Ernie, then yeah. Ernie SUCKS at drafting. He hit on Wall (duh), Beal, Porter, and looking good for Oubre. The rest? He SUCKS:

    2015 - Jerian Grant 1st 19

    2015 - Aaron White 2nd 49

    2014 - Jordan Clarkson 2nd 46

    2013 - Porter 1st 3

    2012 - Beal 1st 3

    2012 - Satoransky 2nd 32

    2011 - Vesely 1st 6

    2011 - Singleton 1st 18

    2011 - Mack 2nd 34

    2010 - Wall 1st 1

    2010 - Lazar Hayward 1st 30

    2010 -  Nemanja Bjelica 2nd 35

    2009 - Jermaine Taylor 2nd 32

    2008 - McGee 1st 18

    2008 - Bill Walker 2nd 47

    2007 - Nick Young 1st 16

    2007 - Dominic McGuire 2nd 47

I can't stomach going back any further.  In 11 drafts, he has made 17 selections (should have been 22), of which 5 (Grant, Clarkson, Hayward, Taylor, Walker) had their rights traded, and 2 (Satoransky(4 years) and Bjelica) who stayed in Europe.  That means in 11 years, only 10 players actually suited up for the Wizards within 3 years of their draft, and only 11 overall. There are 5 draft picks playing for the Wiz, 3 top 3 picks, a #6 pick, and the #2 2nd round pick.

    THAT. IS. PATHETIC.

I was actually getting ready to come in here and ask the perception of Ernie now that the Wiz are doing well.

This is actually a really good breakdown.  I don't follow the Wiz or the NBA as much as I used to but I'd be curious to see how he's hit on drafts in comparison to other GMs out there.  This sucks by itself but without a frame of reference it's kind of hard to tell on how well the average GM drafts.

I immediately notice that Nick Young is a player that went on to have some success elsewhere and JaVale McGee (unbelievably) has gone on to be a glue guy for a really good Warriors team.    http://www.sfgate.com/warriors/article/Blanket-praise-for-oft-mocked-reserve-center-10907475.php  Not sure if Ernie gets any credit for those two or not.  Young was iffy while he was here, McGee was a dunce...however, they've gone on to bigger and better things, which I find interesting.

EDIT:  I should have also said that I bet the average GM drafts better than Ernie.

  2. Would love to see OKC win here tonight.  As breathtaking as the Warriors can be when playing together, I still think that Durant leaving was such a weak move.  I understand if he wanted to go somewhere else...but if you can't beat em, join em, which is so lame.   I'd love to see them come up short again this year.

For a guy that has been the face of the league for a decade he sure spends a lot of time as the victim and worrying about his "legacy."  He clearly lost his cool here.

I don't disagree with this but when you have people asking you about your "legacy" all the way back to the first years of your career, it's got to be hard to ignore.

I didn't know that. I know i found him on Twitter a couple of years back, and he was talking so much lovey dove stuff about his girlfriend that I thought he had to be trolling us (you know how he felt about women lol). But it was definitely him (I saw his pic on Twitter).

I vaguely remember him going on dates and actually finding a woman.  What's his twitter name?

Funny how Jerry Jones is so rah rah positive after the game. This was their best chance to get to the Super Bowl in a long time. They won't be there next year.

Sportscenter showed a stat last night. I forget it exactly, but something like the first 15 years as an owner he was amazing and won 3 Super Bowls, but has sucked since then. Like really badly.

I'm not sure how you can be so cavalier in thinking that they won't be there next year.  While Dak should regress some, he should still be effective, Elliott is still an amazing back behind a great line.  If they step up their defense they can be really good.  I hate Dallas as much as anyone else but I'll give credit when it's due.  They have a lot to look forward to, unfortunately.

    Here's hoping I'm wrong, though.
