  1. Happy for LeBron.  Used to not like him but coming back to Cleveland to win a title and then delivering is a great story.  You can't always go home.  It must be nice to alleviate a city's pain like that.

I've never liked Steph Curry.  Softer than Charmin, showed it tonight.

  2. GSW had an off night.  Curry and Klay didn't play well, the whole team didn't really play well.  Only way Cleveland can beat them is when they have off-nights like that.  It's the only way OKC could really beat them, too.  I don't remember which game it was that OKC ran them out of the building but GSW looked like that last night.

Can't stand the way Irving plays the PG position. Even when he has a great game like he did tonight. Still just uses so many possessions poorly. Still no feel for where his teammates are and how to pass them open. It's clear he's a SG in a PG's body.

He is terrible.  More possessions than I could count where he just came down the court and tried to go one on one with a defender and didn't even look to pass.  A buddy of mine told me he was like Westbrook...not even close, Westbrook averaged 10 assists per game this year.  John Wall has averaged 10 assists twice in his career, I think.

I hate watching Kyrie Irving play basketball.

  3. Warriors just play a great brand of basketball.  They play team ball, they make the extra pass, they're completely unselfish.  Their two big stars Klay and Stephen, don't mind if they don't score.  Witness game one where their bench pretty much outplayed Cleveland's starters.

Kyrie is dynamic, an athletic freak but no wonder Cleveland is losing.  First two games I've already lost track of how many times he's brought the ball upcourt and not even looked to pass, hiking up a stupid shot or driving to the lane and throwing up an ugly layup.

I honestly don't see Cleveland getting a win at home, I think the Warriors just tightened everything up and got hot in the Western finals down 3-1.  Remember, two of those wins OKC had were essentially off-nights for the Warriors.  There was that one game where Steph and Klay and the whole team didn't shoot particularly well.

If Cleveland gets a win in this series it'll be because the Warriors had an off night shooting, not because T-Lue came up with a great game plan to fix what was going on or LeBron suddenly started taking over games.

  4. My ex wife was Brazilian. I heard for YEARS about how awesome they were. As I had to watch night after night of Brazilian news filled with madness. Can't lie, I'm relishing the obvious finally becoming obvious.

Awesome at what?  Soccer?  Having some good looking women with nice asses? Poverty?

We interviewed this kid a few weeks ago who's parents are from Brazil, he couldn't shut the **** up about being Brazilian.  Managed to work in soccer and Brazilian women into his interview.  Everyone I've ever met who's got some ties to Brazil manages to work that into the conversation within the first 5 minutes, guaranteed.

  5. Boba Fett is the most overrated movie character in the history of existence. I could stomach Han coming back with a robot body and his human head more than Boba coming back. If he returns, I'm out.

This is the absolute truth.  I wouldn't go as far to say that I'd be out, but he is completely overrated.  He dies like a ****, too.  There's nothing badass about him.

  6. Warriors probably break the record, but in a head to head matchup I think Jordan's Bulls would take them in a 5 or 7 game series.  Steph is cute and fun but Jordan and Pippen would find a way to lock him down.  IMO, I don't think anyone gets physical enough with him.

  7. Thinking I should watch Spotlight.   I just don't feel like watching something so serious.  And while I know Ruffalo is a good actor, I find him annoying.

On the absolute other side of the spectrum....

I watched Roadhouse the other night and holy **** I love that movie.  I'm not claiming that it's fine cinema, it's a totally guilty pleasure but it has everything.  Swayze is great, the action is bad but still enjoyable.  Great bad guy who is easy to hate in Ben Gazzara, the great sidekick that's Sam Elliott... Kelly Lynch is a smokeshow and doesn't get in the way of the story too much.  The Jeff Healy Band.  All covered in copious amounts of cheese.  I absolutely love watching that movie.

  8. I was joking. It's terrible, but the girl that plays the Rocks daughter has one of the best racks you've ever seen. So there's that...

Actually watching it right now, this is a piece of ****.  But she's worth the price of admission.  Which is HBO Go.  Which I'm using my parents Cox cable account to log into.

Don't understand how an actor like Paul Giammatti gets involved here.

    Daddario though...ridiculous.

  9. Watching the game just mow?

Whoever runs microsoft's marketing department is probably going Hulk Smash right now lol

    What happened?

It was hilarious.  The Patriots were having some issues with their Microsoft Surface tablets and the guys in the booth threw it down to the sideline reporter who goes something like "......yeah, the Patriots are having some problems with their MICROSOFT SURFACE TABLETS and can't get them to work..."

If you don't like Microsoft, it was a great moment.

  10. Straight Outta Compton was pretty good.  I give it a solid B+

A couple things:  None of the main actors looked like any of the people they were playing.  Which might be fine if the people lived a long time ago and you might not be familiar with how they really looked, but the guy playing Dr. Dre looked nothing like Dre, same with Ren.  The guy playing Eazy E sort of looked like Eric Wright, but it was mainly the hair that completed the look.  Cube's kid definitely looked like him and Yella sorta looked similar.  I laughed when I saw someone supposedly playing Snoop, it wasn't even close.  The guy playing Tupac looked like Tupac though.  The guy playing Suge Knight had these big soft puppy dog eyes.  Found it hard to find him believable, needed that random beat down scene to buy into it.

I also don't believe that NWA was close to getting back together before Eazy-E died.  I've never heard that anywhere.

Nitpicking, but that White Sox hat didn't debut until 1991 or so.  Eazy-E is wearing it in the opening scene which takes place in the mid-late 80s.

Film covers a lot of ground, a lot happened to those guys in a few short years.

  11. I saw where the MLB tv app is going to allow people to purchase single team passes this year.  Makes it a lot more appealing, I'm thinking about cutting the cord.  I hardly watch Skins games here so I'm not worried about too much about football.

  12. Never eat Bens at a satellite location like a baseball stadium. Not nearly the same.

Ben's just isn't that good.  I mean it's alright but it's not the life changing experience I was lead to believe that it was going to be.  Cool DC history but other than that, not all that amazing.

Wonder how much longer that portrait of him is going to be in the alleyway is the real question here.

  13. Hockey's not accessible.  Most every kid in America grew up throwing around a football, a baseball or shooting hoops, practically no kid grows up shooting a hockey puck.  Even if you want to bring street hockey into the equation, not a lot of kids do that.  You don't need anyone to practice a jump shot with.  You can throw a baseball against a wall or a pitchback.  You only need a friend to throw a football with.  Hockey?  Not so sure.  I don't think I've ever seen anyone practicing their slapshot in a driveway but I've seen a ton of kids practicing a jump shot or playing one on one.

Agreed with the above poster too, it's only hockey fans that get this way.  NASCAR fans don't seem to care.  And like NASCAR, people watch hockey for fights, like you'd only watch a NASCAR highlight for a crash.

Count me in as someone who'd rather listen to the most boring mundane offseason Redskins talk instead of how the Caps won 3-2 on a late Ovechkin goal.  I'm changing the channel whenever I hear the Caps come up.

  14. Ya, don't go to the website for the movie if you don't want to find out what happened to Will Smith's character.

    http://www.warof1996.com/

That's a cool site but I clicked around for a min or two and couldn't figure out what happened.  But you can google will smith independence day 2 and you'll see "what happened".

IMO, it's not much of a sequel without him.
