Lol, Wall is so fast it's impossible for defenders to ever get set on him so he just keeps causing blocking fouls after blocking fouls.
-
Man ****ing offensive fouls. Ticky tacky calls all game. This is really ****ing annoying.
They do this **** every year. They decide they want to put an emphasis on something so then the first few weeks they act like Nazi's about it. Eventually it fades back into what it always is.

Is it just me or does it always look like Ted's hands come straight out of his chest? That he's got no arms. Like a T Rex or something.
Pay attention next time they're interviewing him.
-
It's not often that you're able to see a rookie take over a game like that. Not hardly. He is going to be such a beast. Get a shot and the world is yours Mr. Wall.
-
I said last week on D Hall's pick six, that he looked like he entered the Matrix when Cutler threw the ball and was able to jump in front of the receiver while time slowed to an almost stop.
John Wall stays in the Matrix.

How has Yi looked?

Yeah I see Thorton has 20 through about 2 1/2 quarters. And they started calling multiple illegal screens as soon as I turned the TV on. Lame.
-
Just got home so I don't know what's happened so far in the first half, but they're only down 3 so that's encouraging.
And it's just beautiful to hear Buck and Phil calling the game. I missed that.

I'm not talking about a NY comparison in terms of their on the court game. I'm talking about the mental aspect. The heart aspect. The passion and work ethic aspect.
Neither of them is as bad Javale though. At least not mentally. Which is shocking when you consider his mother. You'd think she would have taught him the game. That she didn't or, even worse, that he didn't pick it up is very discouraging.

FTR, I'm still not sold on Blatche. I think people are counting him waaaay too much. I just think he doesn't have the heart to put in the work. It's not all about talent or ability or athleticism or skill set. It's also mental. Passion. Heart. You have to put in the work. And I just don't have faith in him to do that. (Basically, a Nick Young big.) Especially not now after he's got a new deal and been paid. God help us.
HOPEFULLY IM WRONG. I can't stress that enough. I'm not hoping for failure so I can rub it in your faces, i.e. Ryman of the North. I hope and pray Blatche makes me look like a fool.

^^^ Tuesday night I think, he busted out two Wiz tix to the home opener during a bit. Be awesome to see him there.

Hey I know lets get tossed from a game where my team is up 30 with less than a minute to go.

For those curious, here is nbadraft.net's 2011 mock so far...
http://www.nbadraft.net/2011mock_draft
Terence Jones intrigues me but we probably need to go with one of the bigs (if we're gonna be in the 5 range).
(Is it bad that we're talking about next year's draft after one game?)

Hopefully the 76ers are our homecoming team. I'm looking forward to seeing what Evan Turner's got too.

The Pistons were in the ECF. The Nets were the team that the Wizards would have had to play in the second round if everything had gone the way it should have. That Nets team was no where near as good as the Wizards.
And the no way is a bit far fetched. The Wizards used to match up very well with Detroit. I'm pretty sure we either went 2-2 or 3-1 against them in 06. They used to have a lot of trouble guarding Gilbert. The 2006 Wizards team was very good in terms of relative competition. That was the year, but of course Curse O' Les Boulez.
Yup. We definitely owned Detroit back then.

I know its the Magic and Arenas and Howard are out. But the blind homer in me still hoped they would look better then this in the opener...
I don't know. I'm more of a realist when it comes to the Wizards at this point. The failure of the promise of the Big Three kinda knocked the blind homerism out of me.

Yeah I hope Gil plays in the home opener too. I'm not getting my hopes up though, apparently he's seeing a foot specialist in Baltimore today. Where are you seated GA? My friend and I will be in 410.
I scored some tix in the 100's sections. 112. Sick seats. I'm psyched.
(Thanks Gator Bait.)
-
Sick dunk by Thorton.
-
I really hope Gil is back for the home opener. I got my tix and I want to see him as much as I want to see Wall. And I'm dying tto see them out there together more than anything.

McGee's shot selection is awesome. Sweet hookshot from the free throw line.
Lol. I was about to post that that might've been the worst hookshot in basketball history.
clearly we made the biggest mistake when we cut Adam Morrison. If he were playing tonight, we'd be winning by 15 minimum40% from 3 son. The next Larry Bird. We ****ed up bad.
-
Not a big deal. It's the Magic and we have no Arenas or Howard, what did we expect?
Exactly. The casual fans are gonna flip but I hope the hardcores understand where we are at as a franchise.
-
Cousins to many was the best player in the draft but there were many concerns about his maturity and conditioning, I'd rather have Wall 10 times out of 10 although I think Cousins is in a great situation in Sacramento with Evans to help out
Yup. That was the beef with Cousins and why he slipped to 5. That he was/is a headcase and lazy.

The so-called experts on the radio probably have watched less than 10 games in the last five years.
It's sickening to listen to them talk about the Wizards. Both stations. But 106.7 especially. The radio home of our Washington Wizards. I feel bad for Dave Johnson and Glen Consor.
John Wall but we could have had both if we won the lottery last year as well. Although I doubt if we get Griffin we win the lottery again and get WallWell considering Griffin didn't play last year (and thus will probably be Rookie of the Year this year), I don't see how anything would've changed.
although I sincerely hope he stays healthy, I like watching him playDitto. I'm a huge Griffin fan. I was on that bandwagon early and desperately wanted him last year.

We still have no big bodies worth putting on the floor. Painful to watch Gortat have his way.
Who would have ever thought that back during the Etan vs Haywood hairpulling fights, we would one day desperately miss Brendan Todd Haywood and that he would go down as probably the best Wizards center of our lifetimes (so far)?
