  1. You do know that one of Daniels's strengths is going through progressions right?
  2. Yep I agree. I always go back to the Ravens with Lamar Jackson. They showed one of those behind the scenes draft day videos when they took Jackson and it was awesome how EVERYONE was all in on him from the get go. It wasn't the owner wanting a guy the coach didn't want, or the coach wanting one guy but the GM/owner taking someone else etc. Our organizational infrastructure is solid and sound and right for QB development for the first time since Beathard/Gibbs. Does that guarantee anything? Of course not. But for the first time in over 30 years, there's a chance. Ultimately that's all you can ask for. I think next year is the year we really get aggressive and go out and get some legitimate weapons. Its usually year 2 or 3 when teams go out and get their young QB that weapon. Bills got Diggs for Allen before year 3. Ditto Hill for Tua. But the Texans got Diggs before year 2.
  3. Love that he'll only be 22 at the start of the season. He could be a real good one in a year or two.
  4. Holy crap that 2nd throw in the Orlovsky video. I can see Daniels to McLaurin absolutely abusing teams with that.
  5. I think he'll fill a lot of what Samuel did last year. I wanna see him do some fun stuff out of the backfield. Could even see some trick plays since he has experience as a QB.
  6. Still bums me out that the Chiefs took Saumatia just a few picks before, but Coleman has some potential. I think you gotta try him at T first and if it doesn't work, then you kick him inside.
  7. We'll get one Thursday Night game as everyone in the league does. My guess is either the Baltimore or Chicago game will be MNF, but a late season one that can be flexed out in case Daniels(and/or Williams in Chicago's case) doesn't live up to the hype early on.
  8. Need plays a factor, but the point is you don't pass up on super talented players to get a guy who might only end up being average because he fills a short term need. At the end of the day, rosters fluctuate quite a bit in the NFL and a position that looks strong one year can be a dire need in 2 years. E.g. the Eagles didn't need a DT when they took Jalen Carter last year, but he was just too talented to pass up. Now Fletcher Cox has retired and Carter can slide right in as full time starter perfectly.
  9. What I really liked about this draft is that there are no WTF picks. No Phidarian Mathis or trading up for long snapper type moves. No stiffs like Ryan Anderson. We got players that look the part that at least garnered legit pre draft attention and hype.
  10. The reality is: MOST O Lines in the league are bad. You talk to fans of every team and almost every single one of them will tell you how much their OL sucks. I think the only fan bases happy with their OL are the Lions, Chiefs, and Eagles. Maybe the Ravens and Texans also. OL play around the league sucks. Our OL is below average but I scheme, playcalling, and an inexperienced QB who had a historically bad sack rate in college made them look worse then they are. There is no chance they look that bad again this year with an upgraded interior, what should be better playcalling(I can't imagine anything worse), and a QB that is much faster at processing and with a quicker release(who is also a legit run threat, which will change the way Ds attack us).
  11. Hes not the athlete La Porta is. La Porta gets open way more. I like Sinnot but do think we took him a wee bit early. Its nit picky though and ultimately I think we got a good football player.
  12. As a member of Maye Nation I have to say…I think we may have simply over valued him and under valued Daniels. By just about every count JD5 was QB2 in this draft, not Maye who only a small minority preferred. Nothing is guaranteed of course, but this was the right pick. Im fully on board(but do think Maye will also end up being good if the Pats develop him properly).
  13. Drafting for need is how we ended up with this trash roster. Exactly. Mikey is short, not small.
  14. Hes more Cooley than anything else. Maybe a bit better blocker. Im so glad the Cole Turner and John Bates experiment can end.
  15. We did eff up not having Green announce him tho lolol
  16. We aren’t trading Allen. Why are people allergic to stacking talent?
  17. They liked Brian Thomas jr a lot. Wouldn't shock me if, after the Jags moved down from 17, they tried to trade up for him. Unfortunately we couldn't quite get up to 22 and Thomas went to the Jags anyway at 23(great value by them). I do think we tried to move up for Guyton though, but the Detroit/Dallas trade kinda effed things up in that respect.
  18. There is no CB we could have drafted that would check anyone the Eagles have anyway.
  19. He's 100% a slot. He is unplayable on the outside but in the slot he's gonna be elite.
  20. There is still some really good WR talent and I think round 5 might be a good spot to take a stab at a RB too. Would snag Van Pran in a heartbeat if he's there.
  21. He's an athlete and KK needs athletic linemen that can move/block in space. Good scheme fit, but will need time to develop.
  22. Cooley 2.0. Love that he can lineup anywhere. I think Kingsbury is gonna have fun moving him and LuMac around. Can see some wild formations.
  23. He's a beast. Ionidis 2.0 but even more athletic.
