  1. In the long run I think Blatche, and maybe even McGee, might be best suited as energy guys off the bench. I'd kill to have Harrison Barnes but I doubt the gods would bless us with back to back #1 picks.
  2. Moe Williams just owns us. If he played us 82x a year he'd be the greatest player of all-time. No but really, this is a young team that is going to lose and lose a lot. I think we would have been better off letting Flip go and getting a young HC that can grow with these guys. Flip is better suited coaching veteran teams. I don't know if Sam I Am is the answer just yet though, I'd prefer he develop a bit more on the bench. We should have gone after someone like Brian Shaw.
  3. I don't know WTF happened to his shooting. He was always a pretty good shooter, or so I thought. But he was just bricking open 3 after open 3 last night. It was really frustrating. If he hit one of those open 3s during that early/mid 4th quarter run that had us within 5 or 6 the whole complexion of the game changes. I'd say outside shooting is our biggest need. If we had better outside shooting threats, the D wouldn't be able to just sag off and collapse the middle when Wall drives for fear of him dishing to open guys. Last night he could have had like 4 or 5 more assists but guys were just clanging open shots. On the flip side the Knicks were hitting 3 after 3 even with hands in their face.
  4. We badly need reliable outside shooting and rebounding. Our bench is also total garbaj.
  5. Gotta love Ted. He lets the basketball people run the show and genuinely cares about the fans. He's just so down to Earth. We're lucky that he owns not one but two of our sports teams.
  6. It's funny how people say Wall is selfish when the first thing he said after the game was about how he needed to reduce the turnovers because they were hurting the team, when an egotistical person would just praise himself for having a near triple double. Whatever. Haters tears are delicious.
  7. That would do nothing but kill any value he has(which is already an all-time low). The best case scenario, long term, might be for Gil to come in and play well but for us to continue losing. That way we can trade him for some nice long term assets and salary relief.
  8. I agree. We have a young team that will struggle on many nights(especially against powerhouses like Orlando)but we will improve as the year goes on. I guess some of the tendencies to panic have leaked from the Skins forum over to this one.
  9. Arenas, Wall, Blatche, and Hinrich are ballers. Rest of the team? Meh. If Howard can return healthy I think we could maybe push for an 8 seed. We'll be a matchup nightmare for anyone with our ability to score.
  10. I would love for Cuban to become an MLB owner, but MLB ownership is an old boys club and they probably fear Cuban's youthful enthusiasm and tendency to be rebellious, although it's something MLB drastically needs. Didn't they prevent him from buying the Cubs a few years ago?
  11. I'm pretty sure you could do that. but I don't think that would ever happen unless you had a pitcher who hit like .300 and had power.
  12. I'm starting to consider hopping over to the Pro-DH bandwagon. I just think it's silly having a guy go up there and pretty much be a guaranteed out every time. I know it adds to the strategy but I still think it's lame. Either way both leagues need to be the same because it's stupid having half the teams play with different rules. You don't see the NFC and AFC have different rules in football. I know there is more of a history to the different leagues in MLB but they are way too caught up in their tradition sometimes.
  13. Buffer butchered a line
  14. God Chris Brown is awful
  15. Sopcast channel 35999 for free live stream, the HBO PPV version...
  16. Pretty much every no hitter in the history of baseball has had its share of epic catches and other ridiculous defensive plays. I should rephrase what I said. No hitters aren't so much overrated, but saying "Jiminez threw a no hitter" is misleading. It should be "Rockies pitching and defense allow no hits" because it's really an entire team effort more than just one pitcher being on all night long.
  17. A lot of great pitchers have never thrown no hitters. A lot of pretty average to mediocre pitchers have. A lot of a no hitter is just luck anyway.
  18. No hitters are pretty overrated but grats either way...
  19. I think both the Nats and O's will surprise a lot of people this year...
  20. Damn I thought we'd have a great fight early, but Pacman is just too good. They NEED to book Pacman-Mayweather. That could be an all-time classic.
