  1. Actually, yes. The electorates of a mid-term and presidential election are vastly different so the same issue could have wildly different effects on outcome. A presidential election has a much younger and more diverse turnout (more likely to support ACA) than a midterm which is older and white (less likely to support ACA). So yes, ACA could have gotten Obama elected and re-elected and also killed him in a midterm election. But enough of that, lets get back to creating straw men arguments on single payer.
  2. You most have graduated top of your class years at the TWA School of Debate. You got to dodge technique down pat. Soon you are going to stop capitalizing the first word of any sentence. Then your training shall be complete.
  3. You seem to be confusing single payer and public option...
  4. Good lord, you have written some dumb **** on this board but this might be the best yet. In 2008 we had national elections. The #1 issued discussed in those elections was health care. Democrats across the country ran on reform and won BIG. Massive victories across the country and took the President and US Senate. After taking power they spent months moving the bills through the system. It takes a long time to move anything. There was endless coverage in the media. Endless debates. Plenty of time and attempts at negotiations The GOP and Democrats could not come to an agreement. That is obvious. However, the Dems had the votes and forced it through without the GOP. THAT IS POLITICS. That's pretty much how politics has worked forever. Trust me, the GOP is about to try and do the exactly same thing in just a few months when they control the Senate. The idea that the Democrats passed Obamacare in the secret at the dead of night and broke the laws and constitution is ****ing dumb, dumb, dumb. The GOP has just won big, and now they have the votes to do a lot. They obviously still lack the full control without the White House. They will now move bills and ideas that they believe they were elected to do just like Democrats did in 2008.
  5. Yea. Never any intention of a national reform. Oh, besides the Health Equity and Access Reform Today Act of 1993. http://kaiserhealthnews.org/news/gop-1993-health-reform-bill/
  6. They have supported a lot of things for more than a decade. Including ObamaCare pre-2008. It's hard to keep track of what's their idea and what's socialism.
  7. Just watched Gone Girl yesterday afternoon. Enjoyed it a lot.
  8. 95 pasta dishes in 7 weeks? Sweet jesus. Dude might want to get his blood sugar tested, probably well on the way to diabities.
  9. Sacramento played the Full House theme song during the Warriors introductions. Pretty hilarious. http://deadspin.com/the-kings-introduced-the-warriors-with-the-full-house-t-1653334097?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_facebook&utm_source=deadspin_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow
  10. Thankfully our November schedule is very light to work out some of these injuries/issues. I think the Heat felt like they had a lot to prove that game. This was their chance to show the world they can be a legit EC contender without LJ. Those players had a lot to prove that they didn't been LJ. I am excited to see us tonight with Nene and Blair.
  11. Yea. I mean, Vegas puts it at 15.5 - pretty amazing.
  12. I thought this was pretty well known. Sort of surprised there are folks who think Bruce Allen hired Shanahan.
  13. I can't believe the amount of misinformation about this ruling that is circulating out there. Obamacare deathblow! This ruling doesn't effect anything. It won't effect anything.
  14. Have you seen the rosters Wall has played with before last year?
  15. I don't understand. Why did the Rockets do a sign and trade? I mean, I'm not complaining but I am confused as hell.
  16. I can't imagine being a Nets fan right now. What a disaster. 3 first round picks. It looked stupid at the time - now it looks historically bad. One of the worst trades of all time.
