  1. Uh, no they haven't lol...maybe they said at BEST he is. Worst I've heard/read was he doesn't deserve a spot on any NFL roster.
  2. I think it depends on what they use for strength of schedule...they may have also included the current records of future opponents, which I didn't use.
  3. The strength of our schedule through the first 6 weeks is weaker than that of the Bears, Jags, and Steelers: Us: .53 Bears: .54 Jags: .54 Steelers: .56 EDIT: and technically, the strength of schedules through week 6 only would look like this if I consider ties correctly: Us: .53 Bears: .56 Steelers: .56 Jags: .59
  4. Actually we'd be picking 9th if the draft were tomorrow...
  5. Re: the "Hive" talk... When you have multiple ES posters starting their posts with "I'm not part of the Hive, but..."...to me it means the "Hive" talk is getting way too overblown.
  6. Not your stance on Heinicke lol (I agree with much of it)...I meant your stance on me and what I was--in your eyes--trying to say. I was thinking this, too...on the other thread (I think, anyway) I had said that Howell should be made to earn the #2 spot and thus any playing time instead of just playing him to "see what we have". I thought earlier today that, if Wentz is out for more than a week Howell is automatically given more opportunities in practice to do just that. And that might be what moves him up the depth chart even when Wentz gets back.
  7. Um, I never said you were paraphrasing lol...I said I got admonished for doing so. The point I was getting across--which I guess I also have to explain--was, if you're gonna describe (or in my case, paraphrase) what someone is saying, you should quote it as well, and for the reasons I was told by mods. Because what you claim I'm doing rings less true when it's coupled with what I actually said: Me: "They've more than seen his escapability in broken-down pockets...and behind this line it's gonna be needed lol..." You: "But you're talking about Heinicke as if he's some master escape artist scrambler who makes poor OLs irrelevant" If your only argument against what I said is to exaggerate what I was saying and then argue against that exaggeration--coupled with the tired and lazy "semantics" retort--you're not making much of a case for your stance.
  8. I once got admonished by mods for paraphrasing posters instead of quoting them so that people could see what they actually said in comparison to what I was claiming they said. And your post right here seems incredibly reactionary. I explained in response to KDawg (I think lol) what "escapability" is...you are free to quote that and pick it apart, or allow it to clarify my original post to you--which, by the way, was little more than a funny tweet I thought I'd pass along lol...I gave you guys enough credit to realize it was meant as a joking exaggeration without an explanation needed. Because I don't understand the mindset that causes anyone--anyone--to turn that tweet into "lulz the 'hive' thinks Heinicke is Russell Wilson lol!!"...
  9. Who the **** said anything about becoming Jalen Hurts? I said "escapability" when the pocket breaks down. Guess what...you can escape a broken pocket and still not run past the LOS. Hell, you can even escape an almost instantly-broken pocket and still throw a pass...complete it, even...sometimes for TDs. It's true, seriously. And sometimes you can escape a broken-down pocket and simply keep the chains moving with a 4 yard scamper. Wildest of all?...You don't need to become Jalen Hurts to do any of that stuff I just wrote lol...But for what it's worth, Heinicke was ranked 8th in terms of QBs with most rushing yards.
  10. They've more than seen his escapability in broken-down pockets...and behind this line it's gonna be needed lol... *apparently none of these videos can be played other than on youtube lol...
  11. As of right now there is no guarantee the offense will score more than 8, 10, 17, or 12 points in any games started by either Heinicke or Howell, either lol...and yeah, if that happens it will be more frustrating to not even see any downfield shots taken, to know they can't just suddenly score a 75 yard TD, and/or see opportunities for big gains get easily broken up because the ball took forever to arrive.
  12. I think we should approach Howell the way Belichick approached both Brady and Zappe: kept both lower round QBs down on the depth chart (#4 and #3 respectively) and keep developing them until they either 1) proved themselves in practice to be worthy of the #2 spot, or 2) the QBs ahead of them are injured and he's more or less forced to start the young guy. He never started either QB just to "see what they've got" in him.
