  1. I figured you saw the other posts before mine lol... Reiterating: in 2005 when we were 5-6, someone started a thread here wanting to say "Playoffs are now!" to indicate that we needed to win all 5 of our remaining games to make the playoffs. So every game was, in essence, a win or go home scenario, like the playoffs. However, the guy: - typed "Paloffs" instead of "Playoffs" - had the grammatical error of "is" instead of "are" We all had a laugh and did some good natured ribbing of the guy (no idea who it was). Then, just as he claimed, we won all 5 games and made the playoffs (and won in the wildcard round to boot). Ever since then, whenever we needed to go on a winning streak to make the playoffs, a "Paloffs is now!" thread was started. We needed to win our last 4 games to make the playoffs in 2007...we won our last 4 games and made the playoffs. We needed to win our last 7 games to make the playoffs in 2012...we won our last 7 games and made the playoffs. Also, fun fact: right after the original "Paloffs is now" thread was started, Sally Jenkins (I think it was her) wrote an article about how pathetic the team was and how even-more pathetic the fan base was for thinking the team could win 5 in a row to make the playoffs. I thought the timing of her comments were too coincidental and just assumed she saw the Paloffs Is Now thread, read it, rolled her eyes, and then talked about how delusional we all were for thinking 5 in a row was possible. (again, might not have been her who wrote the article)
  2. FFS, do ANY members of the GOP know that it's "martial law'? lol...I thought the misspelling was limited to the talking dim bulb that is Marjorie Taylor Greene. I guess not.
  3. You really think Mahomes will be living with his sister next season?...Can't say I agree with you lol.
  4. My immediate take was maybe it's a good thing we haven't played Chase Young yet lol...not anything to do with Heinicke running.
  5. There have been a gargantuan number of bullets dodged by this team over the past 12 months, including literally lol...
  6. Wouldn't it be ironic if Wentz is active the rest of the season...and then TH is injured the last game of the season and Wentz comes off the bench as the backup to win the Super Bowl lol...
  7. I tend to agree as well...Doesn't really mean much about him, it's just that consistency for a QB is damn hard to achieve in the NFL, especially for a 7th round rookie. Would love for us to win out and for Dallas to lose out...we would most likely play the Bucs in the wildcard round if that happened.
  8. He keeps pass plays alive with his legs...it could be that the coaches prefer that to bailing on the play and taking off running. I know (or at least I think I know lol) that Rivera and Turner (and even TH himself) have said he should basically take off running more, but it might not be the issue with them as it is with fans.
  9. He drives clicks just by saying "My shoe is untied" lol...Elon has millions of followers who all seem to jump at the chance to like whatever he says and (they hope) interact with him. He's not floating moronic--and dangerous--conspiracy theories simply to generate extra clicks.
  10. - The overwhelming majority of people who say they are against Elon's offensive ramblings are not saying they're gonna leave. - There are actually a lot of people checking out different platforms--I've been one of them due to hearing about several while on Twitter. - As of now, it's still a rather good source for getting news (especially sports news), which means that more than Elon's idiotic tweets is needed to see any mass exodus. - Calling out Elon's ego-stroking moves seems better than pretending they don't exist...I enjoy seeing the very real criticisms to his asinine comments. - Seeing advertisers, employees, and extremely popular public figures do their own version of a "mass exodus" probably placates people to a certain extent. - Seeing Elon's minions having their poorly thought-out arguments decimated by user after user is almost relaxing lol...
  11. He'll miss our game anyway...and if we end up playing the 49ers in the playoffs he could miss that game, too.
  12. Dude just doesn't know when to shut up... *and just an aside: I do remember a small contingent of Commanders fans who wanted Musk to buy the team awhile ago lol...thank the football Gods that didn't occur.
