Have today's events (Haslett firing, Allen presser) swayed STH's who are on the fence about renewing, one way or the other?
Hard to see how the team will sell hope this offseason without sweeping changes to the front office (or a big splash in free agency).
Not for me. It's about Snyder and the way he does business. Switch the parts, but the failure will remain.

Props for the Outlander recommendation. So far it's a damn good series!

Got to echo what Vis said about the Strain. Looks like it might turn out to be pretty good.

Just got this in an email.
Please note: Your physical Redskins season tickets are scheduled to be shipped by the end of July. If you decide to print, transfer, resell or donate your tickets online, your physical tickets will become invalid and inactive.
-
Does anyone know when tickets are shipping out this year?
My guess would be the 3rd or 4th week of July as the first pre-season game is at home this year.
-
any chance this is on demand?
Edit: Just started downloading season 2, but for some reason, it only has the first 5 episodes, not the last one that aired on 6/8. Season 1, well, I might have to buy it on Amazon for 7 bucks, but that's ok, its three episodes and less than a movie ticket.
I love Zombie ****.
I bought the first season on Apple TV. I couldn't find it legit and free. Like you said though pretty cheap.

I've been catching up on In the Flesh. An interesting take on the zombie genre by the BBC.

Sad news, hat the Cowboys but Lee is a solid guy and great player, looks like injuries may rob him of ever fulfilling his potential.
-
I hope so because I'm a sucker for all of it. If they make it I will watch it!

what is a "solid digital atenna"?
right now i have a pair of rabit ears connected outside my house (where the old 1980s coaxial cable cord connected to the cable tv box near my power meter ) I live inside teh beltway, so it is easy to catch the DC channels, but they stutter OCCASIONALLY (usually during the 4th quarter of Redskins games, of course) but i have no idea if i would be able to pick up more stations, or the current stations better with a "solid digital antenna"
You need this, Mohu Leaf Paper-Thin Indoor HDTV Antenna

LOL I don't know where anyone was paying $800 a ticket. I haven't even come close including playoffs.
That was the price for that game for decent LL. I've been a season ticket holder since 2004 and that is the highest aftermarket prices I have ever seen. Surprisingly the playoff game against Seattle the next week was dirt cheap, barely over face. Weird.
-
It would be an early season game.
If you buy it early probably around or slightly above face value. Wait till the day before the game and face or lower. That's assuming the offseason goes with no catastrophies.

How much will I have to spend for a ticket to an NFC East game?
Depends on when it is, who it's against, and if there is anything on the line. If we suck you can get them dirt cheap, if it's like the NFC East champ game Griffs 1st season they were about 800 a ticket. Chances are really cheap, but I'm hoping they become uber expensive cause that means we would be kicking butt.

If you notice he's in the 200's. No being forced to stand there. That's a 100's thing.

Someone who posted earlier stated that the Redskins were offering 40% off at club level....That's where I got the two grand from. But a couple other people said they had different offers on clubs
That was per ticket. So about 4000 for 2 seats.
-
I think the point Chip is making is the aftermarket demand sets the price not what is printed on your ticket.
-
With enough notice in advance, I'll bet the TO can make it happen for most games; if one is seriou$ enough. He'll pay a little more on the secondary market for the luxury of having 4+ seats together, but not more than he'll lo$e on the preseason games.
I'm picky though. I want the group to be 200 level somewhere from endzone to endzone, home side.
-
Risk?
You invest in what you want to do with your money. You have made the decision that being part of the season ticket elite is more satisfying then spending less money on the open market for better seats, and not having to pay for preseason games.
Or say you have a group of 5 that wants to sit together. Good luck with getting aftermarket tix for a group like that.

I plan on renewing. I hope a lot of you decide not to. I am looking forward to seat upgrades like during the Zorn years.

Picked up some Sweet Baby Jesus at the recommendation of TK and Murph, will be trying it at the tailgate this weekend.

Just once, I'd like to see you take a shot of Kentucky Gentleman and wash it down with a Schlitz. Just once.
No Good Bourbon for you!!!!!
-
This is probably close to the best beer I've ever had. Wether you love bourbon or not you'll love this. It comes corked in 750ml bottles, is limited in production and a little hard to find. They do 400 to 500 cases yearly.
-
Looks like they are starting to lay the foundation for upgrades. Was in my account and they have updated the stadium maps with different shades for the different priced areas.

That's my reaction too. I still believe that the atmosphere Snyder creates around himself and his ventures will somehow doom what on the surface seems like a great move.
