  1. It really isnt that hard to say obstructed or not obstructed when trying to sell them, and really isnt that big of an issue IMHO. I would actually love to have seats in the 200s on the Redskins sideline personally lol

The section you're in now in the 200's would be some of the sweetest seats in the stadium. Especially if they were 200's row 4 or above!

  2. I love the LL end-zone seats. We've had the opportunity to move down a couple of times, but my wife loves our uppers and will not move down.

I think the reason is that we sat in LL end-zone seats at RFK a few times, and she hated those seats.

The first time I sat in the LL at FedEx the had the lite-brite, then when my season tickets moved down there they have the HD screens they have now. They make all the difference in the world when you are in he LL endzone. I am now on my way out of the corner endzone, the further around you move it even gets better. Just try to move toward the home side never the visitor. All those added seats on the visitor side make concessions and bathrooms a nightmare.

  3. Just renewed my two tickets, and this will be my first year in the LL. Anyone know if I'm more likely to get placed in 100-level or 200-level the first year?

Hope for the 200 level. Best seats in the stadium in my opinion.

  4. Ask them about those Loge seats if you can.
Didn't see this before I left. Sorry.
Does this work or do you mean by "specific upgrade request" something like premium tickets?
I just want a normal section upgrade in the LL 200's. My special request is to be in row 4 or above.

They had a crane up at the stadium. It may have been for party decks not positive though because not enough was done. At the top of the ramp near the endzone by the escalator if you're familiar with it you know it has open steel supports. They were putting decking above those steel supports making the area below covered. Looks like it could be a floor for the party decks not sure though.

  5. What do you all think are the chances for being "upgraded" to the sidelines in terms of how long, feasibility, etc?

This past year I was moved from the upper level endzones to the lower level endzone 133, R7. This will be my fifth year as a STH and trying to figure out what upgrade option to check. Was thinking of checking the option to move 1 section closer to the sideline in a similar row, but wondered if we would get stuck in the corners. Really enjoyed my seats this year, being on the lower level is a huge difference compared to uppers, but would rather not be stuck in the corners.

Unless you get lucky or had one of those club seat deals to get toward the sideline you have to go through the corner. I was in 230 2 years ago, then 235, last year 236, this year I'm hoping for 237.

  6. I'm in the endzone, 110. I'd like to stay there. Great section.

I think if you get hold of the right person at the right time you got a real chance. If you at first get a no, don't give up. Try for another agent at another time. Hope it happens for you!

  7. This is the last year of my Club contract. I am hoping to get 4 in a row in my lower section next year so I still have 4 seats when the clubs drop off. Wonder how easy that will be..

If you seats are endzone I'd say it doable with a lot of negotiating on the phone. If you're trying for sideline I'd be surprised if it happens. This is assuming you had no agreement with them beforehand of course.

  8. Article from Hogs Haven on resale prices, which links to a Forbes article. Seems to be so contradictory to what we are seeing going on.

    http://www.hogshaven.com/2011/9/16/2429621/according-to-forbes-redskins-tickets-re-sale-value-is-10th-best-in-nfl#storyjump

They must be getting there data from the highest priced resale outlets, or what is asked, not what the sale was, or the data is from the NFL. You are LUCKY to average face value resale on LL tickets, forget upper level ones.

  9. Dear lord, just looked at Stubhub for the Cards game (hadn't done that in a few weeks) 60 dollars on LOGE tickets, 200 dollar dream seats and 80 dollar lowers? holy ****. If this keeps up all year it will be very interesting to see how bad the season ticket sales drop for next year.

It will be interesting to see if this is an anomaly and things go back to how they were the last couple season, or if this becomes a trend. The Eagles tix are still about what history would suggest, but it is early still.

  10. Where were you before 235?

    I was in 230 before 235, and before 230 I was in 454.

    My season ticket progress is as follows;

    2004 411

    2005 454

    2006 454

2007 454 was able to get green parking ( I think it was this year, it was the great green giveaway)

    2008 454

    2009 230

    2010 235

    2011 236

  11. Well knock me over with a feather. Just got a call from a very nice lady at the ticket office. She told me 2 seats in my recently upgraded section that were closer to the 50 yard line side of the section came open and she wanted to know if it was all right for her to move me to those. I said SURE! So I was was upgraded a section closer to the 50 and then moved closer within the same row this year. Not used to calls like this. I usually am the one calling.

    HTTR

  12. Congrats to all the new season ticket holders. I started of in 418 row 28 in 2004, I'm in 236 row 2 now, bad times make for good upgrades. Hope it pays of and we have a winner one day!

  13. I believe a discussion about the increase in ticket prices in 2006 is totally justified; but the simple separation of the ticket cost from the tax cost is a silly stupid arguement by people who are easily influenced by presentation. Snyder wanted fans to know the actual cost of the ticket versus the tax. I believe that is a good thing. If you are pissed he raised the ticket prices by $20....have at it.....that's a perfectly legitimate complaint to discuss.

    .

The cost increase was $29.90. I would have been fine if he'd just made the ticket $110 face and been done with it. The whole break out the tax thing was done as a diversion to deflect the total price increase.

Another thought just occurred to me. Is the face value of the ticket what the teams use to determine the split between the home and away teams? Maybe by pulling the tax out he saved a load of cash he would have had to split with the visiting teams too.

  14. The separation of sales tax from actual cost coincided with the last GA price increase in 2006.

Ticket prices went up, as did the taxes, accordingly. The face value printed on the ticket went up. The tax charge on the ST invoice went up in proportion to the new cost of the seat, though tax charges would no longer be printed on the ticket, nor included in the face value.

The tax formula employed by PGC since 1997 has not changed (of note).

Hopefully that will clear up some confusion.

Was tax ever printed on the ticket??

So last year's $79 lower-bowl ticket, which included the tax, has increased to $99 for the ticket plus an additional county tax of about $9.90, making the total $108.90.

    Link to article

So the actual increase in the cost of the ticket to the consumer was $29.90, but the skins said hey it's only a $20 increase because the rest is taxes. Just forget that those used to be included.

  15. When you signed up for your TV service, the marketed price was (notional) $79.99/month. Once you get your first bill, your service is $79.99 + Fed fee + fed tax + state tax + state fee + regulatory fee + ...... so your price per month is really $95/month. The same applies to cell phone, home phone, milk, eggs, lumber, tools, car and everything else you buy. Why is it an issue when the Redskins do it?

What if your bill was $95 per month including tax and you received a notice saying we a splitting the 10% tax out and your bill is now $104.50. Who just got the extra dough?

  16. what?

they pulled it out of the price printed on the ticket, but the cost of the seat (as charged by the redskins) was the same.

what the hell are you talking about?

not trying to be combative or offensive. there's just no logic (at least any based in reality) in the post, and i'm trying to figure out what it is that has people so upset about the topic...

It was a way to hide a price increase. When they pulled the tax out of the face value the face value did not go down. So any way you cut it it was an increase in the ticket price. I just thought it was a shady way to go about it.

  17. My problem with the PG County tax being pulled out was it was a way to raise ticket prices 10% and just say "hey it's not the Redskins it's the PG county tax". Why didn't they just do as they had in the past and have the face of the ticket $110 and keep the tax part of the face cost of the ticket? Just seems like a sneaky way to increase their revenue by an additional 10% and try to deflect criticism.
