  1. what does that mean? I have a xbox and a laptop.  is that enough?

AC is the latest wireless standard and is faster and offers better range than N. If your laptop or Xbox is capable of AC you would want to get and AC router. If not you can get an N or future proof yourself and get an AC.

  2. Seats in my section, (236), were selling for $137.00, and only 1 pair was left.   That makes me feel a little better.  I'll just try not too look at it tomorrow, when they're down to $50.00!! :)

St. Louis game has a pair on 236 row 6 for $68 each.  :(

  3. I'm hitting price points anywhere from $40 to $300 for routers, to the untrained eye, seem to have the same specs. Thoughts? Does brand name matter?

I like Apple routers.  But their are certainly cheaper alternatives.  Just never had one of those die on me.  I've had Netgear and DLink routers just die.  If not Apple I'd probably go Asus.

Need to replace my ISP-provide wireless router. All I do at home is stream netflix (up to 3 devices at a time maybe streaming video) and surf the internet.

I was clocking 18 Mb/s download this morning, if that matters. Will this suffice for my requirements?

I use Comcast and have a Motorola Surfboard Docsis 3.0 modem with and AirPort Extreme wireless router. I just had to call them with the MAC address of the modem and I was up and running.

  5. Last couple I've bought were at 0 to 1.9% interest.  Had 5 year loan and payments of about 700.  Still driving my last one a 2010 Honda Pilot.  It's still driving great.  So right now no payment. Just had the timing belt/waterpump/belt service.  Also new spark plugs and valves adjusted.

  6. Well for 1, I don't have that many junk stocks sitting around waiting to buy.  Usually 1 or 2 a year.  For 2, buying 1000 shares of Ford stock at $1 or $2 a share isn't a risk that worries me.  Putting my entire retirement on Ford would be stupid.  Buying 5000 shares of SIRI < $1 isn't something I would bet my retirement on either.

I never said I was smarter than the market.  But what I do in my sandbox is money I could afford to lose if I screw up.  So far it has paid off.  Other people on the board can do it too, you just have to watch.

If I had your success rate picking junk I'd dump it all in there.

  7. I beat your index funds all day long.  I have been doing this for a long time.

What I don't get is why you are not using all your funds to invest in this manner. If you are that successful at it why not use all the funds you have after your employer match on your 401k. If I could produce that kind of consistent success picking stocks I would.

  8. Hey, guess where I was last night!  Gift cards, don't judge.  And the whole time, I was thinking, why isn't Zoony with us?

For future reference OG is part of Datden and you can use the cards at any of their locations. Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, The Capital Grille, Eddie V's, Yard House and Red Lobster

  9. Hope you did the timing belt service on that odyssey at 100k!!

Also honda actually tells customers to never change plugs unless one starts malfunctioning. IMO this is foolish change them at 100k

Have a 2010 Honda Pilot.  Just had the timing belt and spark plugs changed. Mine is recommended at 105K for both timing belt and spark plugs.
