  1. Flying Dog Imperial IPA (Simcor Hops) is delicous, if you see it grab it while you can.
  2. Had a tasting with some freinds tonight, the most interesting by far was the Monk's Café Flemish Sour Red Ale, wow, talk about different. Has anyone tried a flemish ale?
  3. Nuggett is pure hoppy yumminess, I can't say I enjoy any of Troegs brews besides this one, but the nectar is a definite winner. They are selling 6'ers for 10.99 to 12.99 in my neck of the woods, it's well worth it.
  4. Has anyone got their hands on this years Nugget Nectar? All I can say is, buy it while you can.
  5. Had a Delirium Tremens over the summer , it was excellent..
  6. Where do you find the DPA, i live and work in Fredneck and havent seen those 4 packs in a long while... ---------- Post added February-12th-2011 at 09:54 PM ---------- I enjoy the Turbo Dog and currently have a couple in the fridge, mid 90's this beer was excellent, i swear they changed the recipe, either way it's an enjoyable brew.
  7. I tried the Stone Ruination last May and thought it was excellent, i picked up a 6'er of the Stone IPA today, while it's very tasty and has a ton of yummy aromoas, it's pretty damn good, but just okay. Lately I have tried so many different beers I am tired of trying different beers and want to settle in on a reasonbly priced go to beer thats always in my fridge. I have narrowed it down to, Sierra Nevada Torpedo and V Hop Devil, the Torpedo is constantly giving something new everytime I try it and the Hop Devil is just smoooth, there is also the Raging Biatch which is a staple in my fridge, what do you guys/gals choose as an every day beer?
  8. Popped a Victory Hop Wallop a few minutes ago. Tons of citrus hops in the nose and taste, another GREAT beer from Victory. I have tried all Victory brews except the Witbier at this point all of them are solid beers, I would rank them as follows. Hop Wallop Golden Monkey(very different spicy Belgian style brew ) Hop Devil Pilsner
  9. Dudes, I just tried to watch, they are bad, I have never been a fan of the NBA, the only way 90 percent of the NBA or the Wizards become competitive/interesting again is if they get rid of 40 percent of the teams. College ball is 1000 times better than the effortless garbage the NBA puts up night to night.
  10. Just popped a category 5 Winter Storm I'm looking forward to washing down some venison tacos with it. :yummy;
  11. Yes, had a few tonight, they are yummy. Hopefully they keep them coming for a few more weeks.
  12. I know I'm always giving props to DogFish, but damn, I have yet to one of their beers I didn't like. I just cracked a India Nut Brown Ale, and it's dynomite. Pours nice and dark, with a lingering hoppy / nutty finish that lasts a while. Another excellent brewski from DFH. PIcked up a case to include 6 DFH Chicory Stouts, 6 DFH Nut Brown Indian Ales, and 12 Sam Adams winter mixer. I'm excited to try the chocolate Bock and Holiday Porter.
  13. Sierra Nevada Celebration Fresh Hop Ale. Very very good with tons of hops, I give this one a very drinkable and 2 thumbs up. If you see this one in the store check it out.
  14. Haha, UNSONNY makes the monday night craziest fan, Hail to the Redskins!! Congrats!!
  15. Nice, I was definitely looking for content, I wish I would have known. Hail to the Redskins and good beer!!!
  16. Sipping on a couple of pre game 90 minute IPA's, DFH makes some nice brews, this one packs a nice buzz.
  17. I like Saranac as well, as far as low cost massively produced micros are concerned, they're the best IMO. They make very decent drinkable beers. Their double IPA that was out this summer was very good. Cracked into a Victory Storm King Stout about an hour ago, still sipping this bad boy. Lots of roasted malts. My issue is, It has a burnt flavor to it that I can't get use to. It's a decent imperial stout, just doesn't offer the sweeter profile I like in a stout.
  18. http://beernews.org/2010/10/brew-masters-on-discovery-channel-with-sam-calagione-debuts-in-november/ Here is a link to a write up on Brewmasters.
  19. Has anyone heard about the show on the Discovery Channel, Brewmasters? Picked up a case that incuded a Saranac mixed winter brew 12 pack. I know Saranac isn't top of the line but 12 kind of micros for 12 bucks is a steal I couldn't pass up. The other 2 sixers I picked up were the Victory Storm King Stout and 6 DFH Raison De Etres. The warmth and maltiness of the Raison De Etre has been going well with the cold weather lately.
  20. To the Sam Adams Winter Lager fans, have you tried Petes Wicked Winter Ale? IMO, it's a step up from the Sam Adams.
  21. Just cracked a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. This is one heck of a stout, packed with tons of malty, chocolatey, coffee and vanilla yumminess. I grabbed some Milk Duds out of the trick or treat candy bowl to try a little pairing, and wow, is this good. If I only had a piece of chocolate chip cheesecake to wash down with this brew. 4 thumbs up for this 10 percent monster.
  22. Steamed some fresh mussels in a white wine/garlic sauce and steamed some spicy shrimp, chased it with a couple Dog Fish Head 60 Minutes, EXCELLENT!!!
