  1. You gotta think they drafted him to be a matchup mismatch and that he's gonna be used in a lot of ways.....To take him as high as they did they must love him.
  2. I disagree. Latimer was a good get and the NYG were not happy to lose him. He is still reasonably young and has skills/experience. I think he was signed because they like his potential. The off field stuff may end up being a factor but I wouldn't overlook him....he hasnt been cut yet.
  3. Latimer will be ahead of AGG....if he isnt suspended/released.
  4. I hope our players see this ranking....
  5. ESPN just released its power rankings and the Skins are ranked #31 out of 32 teams. Wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this??? Is there that little faith in DH stepping up and playing like a 1st round draft pick after a year of learning the league? What about our defensive line and new defensive system, is it only gonna take us as far as being the 31st best team in the league? We are ranked behind Carolina by like 6-7 spots and we kicked their ass last year? I just can't accept that we will be that terrible this season......
  6. Pretty sure the Gandy man will wear #11, DeSean Jackson's old number. I have a Jackson jersey and just took scissors to take the name plate off, instant Gandy man jersey now. Don't throw away those stitched jerseys....
  7. I agree with you and I thnk RR will want to keep and coach AP at least for the first half of the season. But once the young kids show they can stay healthy and learn the system I can't see how there will be consistent touches for AP. I would never bet against AP though, he shows up and plays hard every week. Thinking about this, the running back room is gonna be one of the most competitive in on the entire team.
  8. Read something on ESPN.com today that AP would likely be cut given the Skins are in a youth movement and with the free agent signings of McKissic and Peyton Barber. It talked about AP's age and the fact that this new staff is going with versatile players over one dimensional ones...says AP may be in trouble to make the team. Take it for what it's worth. Here it is: "Washington's backfield is a crowded mess, with Peterson joined by Derrius Guice, Bryce Love, Peyton Barber and third-round pick Antonio Gibson. The rookie is the only lock to make the active roster, but I don't really see any reason for a rebuilding Washington team to stick with the 35-year-old Peterson."
  9. Just imagine if Montez comes out in year 2 and just lights it up? We could have an all time special duo with these two if they keep their heads on straight and get the right coaching. Very excited to see our d-line.
  10. I'm gonna double down and predict that the Gandy man is the Terrry Mac of 2020. I've seen enough to be able to say that this kid is gonna be the real deal. Just the way he can go up and snatch the ball no matter if he's open or not shows me that he has a special quality about him. I think he's gonna have every chance to succeed under RR and company.
  11. I don't know....if Gandy Man goes to the practice squad I think we'd lose him to another team.
  12. Seems like this Gandy guy will be a challenge directly to Harmon as they have similar games, taller, not as fast, win the jump balls, etc...Given that Gandy was drafted by this regime, you'd think Harmon better show up ready to take the 2nd year jump. The fact that RR and Kyle drafted 2 WR's has to put the 2nd year guys on notice for sure. How's this look: Terry Mac Simms Jr. Latimer Gibson Gandy - Golden Harmon Cam Sims Quinn
  13. With Simms Jr and Latimer....I like it a lot. The key to all of this will who the QB is and how they get the ball to these weapons....
  14. Did you watch the film one of our boys put on ES???? You may change your mind....
  15. This kid is tremendous....he's Alshon Jeffrey. Catches everything. Hell, I like his QB too, lets get him. WR's like this will make DH better just because of their wingspan. The Gandy Man can!!!
  16. **** the Giants...this is a Chase Young thread!!!!! Rejoice my brother.
  17. Cannot wait to see our defense. Welcome CY, it's time to get to work and hunt QB's....the 2020's are gonna be owned by the Skins.
  18. Yep, that's what I'm talking about, teams panic when they hear the smokescreens....to me, the worst part of the deal is the player they moved up one spot to get. They must've been fooled into thinking SF had a trade partner or maybe SF really did? Keep an eye out for stuff like that happening tomorrow...the Bears may regret that trade for many, many years.
  19. In some ways you answered your own question: Yes, teams, every so often do crazy things based on who's in charge regardless of bad moves made years prior.. Each of the situations you list happened years after the prior crazy trade. And, to me the Trubisky deal is equally as bad as all of the other deals you list. Think about it, if a team gives up 4 picks to move up one spot to take Mitch freakin Trubisky then anything is possible with Miami or some other team. I don't put anything past Gruden....or Cleveland. I agree it's not likely that Miami goes up to 2 but I do think it's 50/50 they move up to #3 overall to secure Herbert. If they don't I think someone will and it's not gonna be cheap. Detroit wlll make out very well if they're gonna move out of the 3 spot. Enjoy the draft, I gotta believe this will be the most watched draft ever simply cause there's no other sports on. Kudos to the NFL for staying the course and giving us some sports entertainment....for that, Goodell should be applauded.....after he's booed.
  20. I don't disagree that Miami stays put but I have no clue what they will do. For all we know they'll trade back with Atlanta for even more picks and scoop up Jordan Love? Who knows? Or, they may panic and feel like they HAVE to get Herbert at all costs....Cleveland's owner took Johnny Manziel because a homeless man told him to and that's the same year that Jerry Jones had to be tied up and gagged to not take Manziel. Some of these owners step in and screw up everything....isn't this how we supposedly got Haskins (Dan stepping in and making the pick)? Who's to say Miami's owner doesn't step in and demand a trade up? I don't buy your theory that teams learn from others mistakes because some owners NEVER learn....Did you see the stat where Cleveland has had two first round picks four different years and they only hit on 1 of the 8 first round selections? That's brutal. Guess we'll see what happens?
  21. It may not make any sense to you but the scuttlebutt is that Tua is falling and Herbert is the prize. This race to get a QB could be down to one big prize....Herbert and sometimes teams do crazy things, like trade 4 picks to move up 1 spot (Bears for Trubisky). And lots of teams over the years have done crazy things in the draft once they target a guy they have to have. What Miami does sets this entire draft in motion....do they keep all of their picks and sit tight or do they use the picks to move up. Sitting at 5 leaves them in a spot to get nervous and impatient, that alone makes teams panic. Not all GM's think alike....
  22. Would Miami offer up three firsts and a 2nd to move up to #2? It seems now that the prize QB to get is Herbert.... Again, what makes sense is this: Miami trades three 1sts, a 2nd and a 4th to Washington to move up to #2 and acquire Trent Williams. Washington trades #5, #18 and a 2nd to Detroit to move up to #3 Detroit stays at #5 and picks up #18 and Miami's 2nd. The Skins end up at #3 and get Miami's other #1 pick and a 4th. It's a sick offer by the Dolphins but they get a QB and starting left tackle out of it. Detroit does very well and could realistically continue to deal up or down in the coming rounds. Skins get Chase Young and a late 1st to take a WR, TE or tackle....or they can continue to trade back to pick up more picks.
  23. I saw one Skins player, I think it was Collins, when asked which defensive player would most surprise in 2020, answer........"Jimmy Moreland". He was emphatic about it.....I think Moreland is gonna be a great player, especially with good coaching and a staff committed to him.
  24. That has to be the plan....Kerrigan could thrive in a system like this.
  25. Over who? I'd have no problem if Ion started....he's in the rotation for sure. Maybe RR can bring in Richard Dent and Refrigerator Perry from his old Bears teams to coach up these young d-linemen.
