  1. Does Suzuki have neon yellow nail polish on, or has the bourbon broken my brain?
  2. Certainly not the situation, but Joc Peterson has a super beanable face.
  3. Robles gets on 50% of the time on that bunt. Perfect play by Kershaw.
  4. Not in so many words, but you could tell he was thinking it.
  5. Alex: “Dave Roberts, what stand out to you about Stephen Strasburg?” Roberts: “He’s obviously in God mode.” ”Back to you Frenchy”
  6. Um, yea, he has no money. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/redskins/2019/07/24/adrian-peterson-washington-redskins-debt-loan-financial-trouble/1812302001/
  7. Makers and bitters, and simple sugar. https://www.makersmark.com/****tails/old-fashioned Mixing booze with Coke is for college kids and rednecks.
  8. Pretty sure I will be filling my 32 oz souvenir cup with Max Stras and Corbin on it, to the brim, with bourbon tonight. The one on the right. To. The. Brim.
  9. Community service for rich people is not picking up trash on the side of the road. It's them picking a "cause" that they now all of a sudden care about and helping the less fortunate in some worthless but conspicuous way. That ends up helping to rehabilitate their image. "Oh, look at Aunt Becky spending time with young single moms, she even claims to have formed a real friendship with some. Awwww." They also get to go home and sleep in their own bed and pretty much maintain their very posh lifestyle. Subjectively, I think the loss of your actual freedom for 2 weeks or 2 months, where you don't maintain your lifestyle, you sleep on a concrete slab with a 3 inch thick mattress on it, are cut off from your family and friends, and probably have some fear for your personal safety (even assuming you are in jail, not prison) is going to impact a person far more and stick with them far longer.
  10. Tonight is as close to a must-win game as it gets without being an actual elimination game. It really looks like they need to win both Strasburg outings, plus one of the games at home (assuming Stras pitches tonight and lines up for Game 5). Right. The winning run was literally scored in the first inning.
  11. Today was glorious. I went to the game. Ended up sitting next to an unbelievably obnoxious baby boomer Indians fan. I say fan, but she was so ****ing negative I think she both roots for and hates the Indians. She claimed to work for the club but she said some questionable things like Francisco Lindor (who she evidently hates) is demanding $36 million (timeframe not specified). It was strange, but the point is this person was miserable. What the doctor ordered was a 9 running inning during which I could do the baby shark in her ****ing face, cheerily explain to her the baby shark phenomenon after she annoyingly demanded an explanation, and then have the Nats ultimately win. I think they did what people thought they would do before the season started, they just took a weird path to it. I think 90 wins was roughly the expectation. It’s odd to be the worst team in baseball for a month and a half, then be basically the best team in baseball for the rest of the season, but thats what happened and it worked out to be 90ish wins.
  12. Yea, I think at this point it's a coin flip. I would even think Corbin should get some consideration depending on the left/right splits of whoever we play, but he pitches tomorrow and the schedule just doesn't work out. I'm going to the game tomorrow, and without my kid this time, so instead of spending half the game in the kids playground area and searching for sugary foods, I can spend half the game chugging beer and the other half going to the bathroom.
  13. I guess the stats don't really tell the story I thought they would. This is since 9/1. Max's ERA of 5.16 stands out versus Stras' excellent 2.40 (and Corbin's), but Max has a better FIP, more K's and less walks.
  14. I am going to find out where this person lives and stand right outside her apartment door one day, so SHE can't get to work that day. Then I'm going to do it again 4 days later.
  15. I did that yesterday. ONCE I am willing to just **** about on the internet. ****ING TWICE IN ONE WEEK is now a full-blown declaration of war which must be met with a proportional response. These ****ing people CANNOT be allowed to continue to believe that not only should they do this, but also that they CAN do this whenever they want. I am going full goddamn antifa on these ****ing assholes.
