  1. I thought so, too, but some folks are allergic to waiting. Unless I’m about 3 minutes behind them.
  2. Well, Dejean, Kool Aid or Ladd are going to be there…
  3. Buffalo and NE need DBs, too. Kris Jenkins is a wild card.
  4. Kinchens won’t. Nubin is athletic and a ballhawk type. Kinchens got dinged for athleticism and that will drop him.
  5. I think Ladd, Dejean and Kool Aid are the first three off the board.
  6. Lesser players go ahead of better players all the time.
  7. Hey. We don’t talk about the King’s berry here.
  8. That’s fine. I don’t want to use it on OT7, either, but here we are
  9. I think there is consensus that Ladd, Kool Aid, Dejean are the best possible picks for us. So all three will be gone at 36. In that scenario I’m not opposed to Paul. Was adamantly against trading up for him last night but selecting him at 36 is a better feeling. 40 would be an even better one. But there are so many players left who I think could help us. Corley. Corum. Sinnott. Stover. Kinchens (will likely be available later). BEEBE. I don’t understand why people have fallen asleep on Beebe. I still think he’s the best lineman in the draft and I’d rather have him than OT 7.
  10. I want to reiterate: The online draft community is sleeping on Kam Kinchens and they shouldn't be. []_[]
  11. I think Corley and Ladd are going to wind up being some of the most productive sleeper receivers in this draft. I use sleeper lightly.
  12. I don’t think having JJ rated higher than either is all that funky. If you are not swinging on upside and just drafting for what they are and their potential to not bust, it’s JJ all day for me. When you include upside it’s a tougher sell. But I think JJ has a much more even hit:just ratio than either. While JD has the most ceiling potential and floor potential. But man if he hits… sweet sassafrass. Never. This is never going to happen. He just got here and you’re trying to run him away with a nickname like “Jayden 5, he’s alive!” Hopefully we are never saying that about the guy.
  13. I am with you on Corum and Beebe. My only hesitation with Corum is we have two backs and while I absolutely think we should go BPA it depends if Kool-Aid/Dejean are on the board. I wouldn’t hesitate to draft Corum. I think he’s going to be really good in the NFL and paired with JD could make for a pretty lethal running attack. I just don’t think we do it and I’m not sure I would if I was the GM. But I’d love it nonetheless.
  14. I agree, but those that are throwing in the towel are a big time outlier. MOST of the concern here is entirely based on durability concerns and not being out on the regime. There would have been over the top nonsense for any of the picks.
  15. I think Ladd/Corley are both high end BPA targets. I still think Beebe is as well. Jackson Powers Johnson HAS to be on that list. DBs I have Dejean, Rakestraw and Kool-Aid. I don't believe any of the remaining OTs are BPA at our next two selections at the moment. Though we are in a range where I am more comfortable with Patrick Paul vs. the original conversation of trading up for him.
  16. I certainly see why folks think this way, but I think context is important. There are mechanical and skill things that Daniels does that needs improvement. But, that's the same for all of these guys. Caleb holds the ball for 2 hours on each snap. Maye's footwork is wildly inconsistent, Daniels takes too many hits and has some inconsistencies with feet, Nix only throws passes 3.2 yards away from him, Penix is a walking injury, Rattler struggled with overall consistency, Sam Hartman... is Sam Hartman. Daniels potential is sky damn high. It's hard for me to ignore that because it's there. He is a great athlete, wants to get better and has shown great strides in improving his game. I think a lot of folks here, understandably (and this includes me and I don't say this stuff lightly) are terrified of his injury potential due to frame and how many hits he takes and how he just doesn't avoid them. That's the biggest concern. Mechanical stuff is fixable. As long as he's healthy, I think all of it will be corrected to make him much more consistent. Healthy is the concern. I don't think that anyone thinks Haskins was a better prospect than Daniels. Daniels potential is sky high through the roof and it cannot be ignored.
  17. I disagree. They both do it. Maye more than Daniels, though. I DO agree there. Maye's mechanics are far worse.
  18. First off: The man won several Super Bowls as coach and GM. I'd say some respect for his opinions is warranted. Especially considering our fanbase is saying we should trust Adam Peters judgement because he's a pro GM and we aren't. I'd say that same respect, multiplied by about 1000x, should be applied to Belichick. Second, no. I'm not worried about what Belichick said. I'm worried that his opinion matched mine. Third, as I said: I think it's all fixable. As long as he's healthy. Yes. I saw them all. I don't care what he said about the others, though. They aren't our QB.
  19. Oh, you're in the loop. Heath Shuler. Donovan McNabb.
  20. Can we please, for the love of all that is good, not allow him to wear #5?
  21. Also... Watching Belichick's thoughts on Daniels reinforced some of my concerns with Daniels. Misses open passes, doesn't throw well inside the numbers, takes big hits. Which I am hopeful can be fixed with coaching as long as he does the thing that unlocks everything else: Stay healthy and protect himself. If he's available to practice, he's going to get much better.
  22. Ladd, Rakestraw, Colson, Wilson, Corley, Beebe, Corum, Benson, Sinnot, Sanders, Polk, JPJ, Van Pran are the guys I’d look at. Love Dejean, too. Blake Fisher may be worth a flyer, but the tackles left don’t inspire me. One small thought RE: Herm was fired everywhere he coached: So was Belichick.
  23. Has anyone heard from GoingCommando? He said he was going to self ban if we drafted Daniels. Anyone know what blaze of glory he chose?
