  1. Are we the only ones Hatin' on Dallas?

Well, the Dallas Lovefest in the HOF game was a bit much! Just wait until they're playing a decent team - Miami is horrible.

I get so sick of hearing about how talented the Cowboy roster is. Does it matter? No. What matters is how many games you win. So when they fall on their face, I need for people to scrutinize them like they deserve to be scrutinized when they fail. Stop putting them on a pedestal.

  2. Just re-upped on line...got this interesting message at the confirmation screen: If you do not receive your tickets shortly, please contact us at tickets@redskins.com. Thank you for purchasing your Washington Redskins tickets. I am guessing this is the old message for when people were buying single game player returns.....
  3. If you have a Redskins Mastercard, you can pay at the last minute and get six months no interest minimum payments for 6 months from the day the payment to the Redskins clears. This is good whether you are a new card member or an existing one. I think you need spend at least $500 on tickets to get the deal.
  4. "Die you dogs. Die you Dallas dogs." - Sam Wyche >> I believe the quote is "Die you dogs die. Die you yellow dogs."
  5. ah..Paloffs!?!...don't talk about Paloffs!!!...,,,you kidding me??....paloffs?
  6. Gabe Kaplan owning Robert Conrad on Battle of the Network Stars: I remember watching this..excellent article with video of the controversy which led to their race. http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?id=3712343
  7. So if everybody in Gray is upgraded to Green B3 or Green - is that possible?? Where WAS the staff lot? I saw one game where a bunch of them got off a bus next to the stadium. I think it will be a HUGE mistake to allow B3 to come in any exit they want.
  8. Sad to part with the tickets, but in the end they were more trouble than they were worth. For the next few years I will only be able to make a few games per year (work and family commitments), and the secondary market for upper level seats is just dead. >> More trouble than they are worth sums it up pretty well. A friend of mine reached the same conclusion a few years ago and his seats were better. On the bright side, you can buy them back on stubhub for less $ and less hassle for the games you want to go to.
  9. They offered the deal last year and again this year. I believe card holders from the previous year were still eligible again this year. Not sure if min payments are required or not. This would be an AWESOME perk if they continue it.
  10. Looks like we aren't the only ones getting nothing for preseason and late season games. Hoping this changes this year, but I definitely feel this guy's pain: http://now.msn.com/now-plus/0327-browns-season-ticket-spoof.aspx
  11. >> When the stadium first opened, lower level sidelines were $60 and lower level endzone and upper level sideline (rows 1-15) were $55. Today all lower level seats are the same price (excluding obstructed view). Sounds like they need to price the endzone lowers somewhere between lower and upper level sideline seats. Maybe the next time they bump prices they will do this because I can't see them lowering prices. The prices from 1997 are from the packet the team sent out prior to FedEx opening up.
  12. Your tickets would go up to $87 per seat per game, so $1740 for the season or an increase of $340 for the season. >> The 3 choices should be: Yes, No, LOL, you got to be kidding me, because I know I can do much better on the aftermarket. If you are interested in Club Level season tickets, please check this box.
  13. Beware that you will likely need to put down a $50 nonrefundable processing fee per seat just to find out where the seats would be. This is what happened to my brother a couple of years ago and he ended up declining the offer.
  14. >> Last year they dangled a few events as bait for people to renew well before the regular deadline. Mind you, this was at a time when the labor issue was still unresolved and the team was (secretly) ripping out seats from the endzone. Anyways, I can't see that happening this year.
  15. Upper Sidelines with tax are $70 and lower sidelines with tax are $87. So $17 per game per seat. $170 for one ticket, $340 for 2. If you are in row 29, worth the upgrade. The other option would be to try to move closer to the 50 and stay in the upper rows (16-29). You got to figure if you move towards the 50, you can't move any higher than you already are. ---------- Post added January-16th-2012 at 09:56 PM ---------- My recollection was the Redskins said that if you were forced to move to a higher price seat, you got to keep the lower price until you volunteer to move elsewhere. As long as you stay where you are, you keep paying $44 per seat. If you choose to upgrade, you pay the normal cost for your new seats. >> Make sure you have this in writing. I bet in 5-10 years, they won't be willing to give you this deal any more.
  16. ...after last year - would anybody really trust them to give them anything other than the event with the lowest tickets sales? Last year, it seemed like most everybody got Kenny Chesney tickets whether they wanted them or not. BTW, looks like they added some options to the upgrade list. For instance, if you have an aisle seat, you can specify that you want to upgrade, but only if you can stay on the aisle. Green parking is still $350 for the season. If it wasn't for the ES tailgate, I would be tempted to drop the pass.
  17. Ripping out the obsturcted view seats would be a good start towards this goal. IMHO, introducing a youth (18 and under) ticket at 1/2 the cost of the adult tickets in the upper deck would be another good idea. You don't see many kids at games like you used to and at $70 a ticket, I think you can see why. ---------- Post added January-3rd-2012 at 07:53 PM ---------- I think last year the first payment was due March 1. Next 2 payments were April 1 and May 1. If you paid in full early, you got a choice of seats to some other events, but it seemed like everybody got Kenny Chesney tickets whether they picked that event or not.
  18. If you were in the Redskins Kids' Club last year, you could have gotten 4 tix for the Tampa Bay game for FREE. BTW, the price of the Kids Club is $30 per year. Do the math. I saw some people picking them up and asked where the seats were. I believe they were upper end zone corner, but I can't remember if they were the $70 ones or the $44 ones. Someone had a pair for $19.99 each today for the Vikings game on Stubhub.
  19. Vikings game already looking very soft on stubhub. These may go lower than the Cardinals game. SRO Clubs are in the mid-$40s already.
  20. I probably go to 1/2 to 2/3 of the games per season. I usually break even on the seats I sell and if I can sell to my family/friends/other Skins fans, then so much the better. I have tickets because I like my seats (50 yardline in section 401) and I really like the ES tailgate. However, if Snyder EVER introduces a PSL, I will be gone.
  21. >> Try watching the 1982 America's Game on Hulu.
  22. Update: 10:45 PM Saturday night: 165 tickets for $30 or less. All Party deck SRO are gone. $30 or less consists of upper deck sideline mostly row 25 and up. There are 6 seats available in my section in MY row. Last year, I had noticed there were empty seats near me and asked the TO about them earlier this Spring. I was told they could not sell them to me at that time, but to call back later. I never did, but a new STH got 2 seats next to mine (it took me NINE years to get upgraded to section 401 and people come off the waitlist next to me???). Anyways, I look forward to the day when Dan Snyder himself is out hustling tickets in the B-3 lot. Another Update: 10:30 AM Sunday morning - Pair in section 453 row row 22. $11 each + $15 last minute fee + $5 fee = $42 for a pair which have a retail value of $140. - 165 tickets still left on stubhub. I feel bad for any STH trying to resell tickets at the stadium today.
  23. ...over 100 Party Deck tickets available for $25 or less..some starting at $17.....Low priced Dream Tickets seem to have been snatched up.... http://www.stubhub.com/washington-redskins-tickets/redskins-vs-cardinals-fedexfield-1068633/ I stand by my sig......
  24. Osaka - Amen to that. Look around the stadium and you see very few kids at the games. A friend of mine teaches school and would love to bring his kids to a game, but at current prices, he limits their visits to preseason games. I wish instead of ripping out the seats in both endzones, they had lowered the prices in those sections and even offered youth tickets at 50% off face. BTW, Tampa Bay has a program like this. I guess the TO never heard of supply and demand (hmmm....maybe Vinny is not completely gone after all). I don't like the way they use the so-called waiting list as the boogeyman in order to convince current STH to renew their seats and pressure potential buyers to buy now when knowledgeable folks know it is a farce (hence my signature). BTW, I just bought a pair of Tampa Bay tickets for 9/1 for $1 each on stubhub (section 429, row 12).
  25. That would be an interesting decision by the NFL. It it were only one week, I guess they would give up a pre season game or two. But I would only be guessing. Hard to move a lot of the regular season games. For example, the Jets and Giants share a stadium, you have Thursday and Saturday night games. Regular season games bring in more revenue than pre season. >>>>>....or they could take the week 1 games and move them to the end of the season like they did the games that were going to be played right after 9/11/2001.......anyways just sayin'. BTW, I'm hoping at least one preseason game gets canned, they don't make it, and realize that four preseason games are unnecessary.
