  1. Got mine yesterday. Total price for 1 season ticket for me is around $760. Preseason games were listed around $36 and regular season around $86. I am very happy to see the pricing more reflective of what the preseason/regular games are valued relative to each other. I would not mind seeing the NFC East games bumped up another $14 to $21 and the other games reduced by $6 to $9. This is a major step in the right direction.
  2. One of our 'coupons' was a charity golf tournament dated for July 26th. So... something is wrong with them or when we got our tickets or something. Coupons/discounts for the past don't do us much good >> Was there an ad in there for DeLoreans as well?
  3. That would work with the tickets....any idea about the parking passes?
  4. Why do you guys care? Because you're trying to sell them? .....or get them to the people you share tickets with. I am not going to the Jets game, but the two guys I split tickets with are. One guy works in the same building with me, but the other guy lives in Richmond. One guy owes me $400 from last year and the other guy $212. No way they are getting the 2016 tickets until I have payment in full from 2015 and 2016. Not wild about $3500 in tickets and parking passes sitting out on my front porch either, but I think they require a signature.
  5. ..we might get emails from FedEx/the Redskins about a package being on the way as well.
  6. I would be shocked at 10 as well....the season would be over before all the payments were made. If you decided not to pay, it's not like they can cancel your remaining tickets. Of course, they can and as history has shown, take you to court. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/02/AR2009090203887.html Looks like the Marlins took a page out of Snyder's book (over promise, under deliver, cut back, & sue): https://consumerist.com/2016/05/25/miami-marlins-respond-to-flagging-attendance-by-suing-season-ticket-holders/ Love this line from a (former) Marlins STH: “It’s just the principle,” he says. “If they would have provided what they said they’d provide, I’d still be a season ticket holder today.”
  7. 100%...NO....Club seats routinely sell for less and often a LOT less than $250 on stubhub. If you are only going to a few games a year, you are going to lose a ton on the other games. Are they promising you lower level seats at the end of the club contract? Even IF they did, I still think it is a bad deal for you.
  8. ...I got in early today, but did not try to buy anything (not planning on going -- just wanted to see what was there). BTW, it looked like limit 8 per person.
  9. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss....(dang, we got fooled again)
  10. ...just got in....not much to see though....
  11. ...the pickings are considerably slimmer this year than last. Last year, when my window opened, there were a bunch of seats in 224 and 225 available as pairs, but not this year. There were also a ton of LL endzone seats available, but again...not this year. Right now, there are a ton of seats together in section 452 (including 11 together) if anybody looking to consolidate seats.
  12. ...got my email yesterday evening....window opens at 10 AM on Wed....I have had tickets since 1999...probably won't upgrade as I share my tickets with two other guys (plus they BOTH still owe me $$ from the 2015 season).
  13. ...hard to believe they are giving waitlist people first dibs on lower level seating...not looking to upgrade myself (row 16 in 401), but I would be pissed if I were. BTW, I already did the season ticket holder survey. If I had not, I would have mentioned this for sure.
  14. ...I have been very happy with seatgeek, though they do NOT stand behind the tickets that are "sold" through their site. One time, I had a problem with a seller never delivering my ticket and seatgeek basically told me to deal with the actual seller. I believe that seller is no longer on their site. Stubhub will stand behind what they sell (as they have the credit card info of the seller).
  15. >> No, as they typically only go 1 time a year at most. These people do not have season tickets and are willing to pay up to face value (especially if we make arrangements before the season starts). If a regular season game is now 12% more than it was last year, that's not a deal killer for the occasional game that they do attend. All my friends are Skins fans or non-NFC East fans, except for my brother in law who is a Giants fan - the last game he came to was vs Philly when Cooley hurt his knee on MNF.
  16. >> I am glad to see this as I often have friends come with me, but they have to pay me for their own ticket. Also, if there is a game you are going to miss, you can sell at face value w/o looking like you are gouging people when in reality, you are just trying to recoup your preseason losses. If these % are across the board, then this is very close to what I projected on page 83.
  17. I am GUESSING that they would discount the preseason tickets by 50% and take the remaining costs and allocate them to the other 8 regular season games. This would increase the regular season games by 12.5%. Doing this would make the preseason game 44.4% of the price of regular season tickets which is somewhat in alignment to what the prices are like on the secondary market for preseason games (though your mileage MAY vary). Example: $100 old ticket price --- preseason now $50 and regular season now $112.50. ($50 / $112.5 = 44.4%) In the worst case scenario, they could mark the preseason down to 0 and allocate the costs. If they did that, then the regular season games would go up by 25%. Bottom line - regular season will probably see a bump around 10% - 20% per ticket.
  18. ..was looking at my Redskins rewards account and it looks like I got 500 yards this year for buying a season parking pass...also bought 2 field passes for the preseason (they are cheap....only 3000 yards per pass limit 2 per person for the preseason). I also got a couple more of the STH pins for 50 yards each. It also looks like they did not award my yards correctly. I have 4 upper level seats and have been a STH for 15-19 years. I should be getting 6000 x 4 = 24000 yards. They credited me with 8000. The only thing I can think of is that I am doing the 3 payments and maybe they are crediting me 1/3 at a time. Anybody else seeing this?
  19. UVA does the same thing for basketball and baseball. The discount for buying the whole season is substantial vs. buying individual games. The discount for UVA Football is either none or very modest.
  20. Coach JS - Depends on demand. You can always try calling them and see if they can put a hold on the tickets for you...I remember MTH once wrote about not renewing some so-so tickets he had and the team held onto them for him (even though he did not care). On the other hand, he knew people who had nice seats, missed the deadline, and lost them. Given that you are on 50, I would not hold my breath, but it would not hurt to call. BTW, what section are you in? I had seats in 401 r23 on the aisle until they ripped them out last year. I got moved down several rows, but am no longer on the aisle.
  21. Renewed my four today online. There is a place on line to do the pay as well play option for Playoff tickets.
  22. Well, if they are pulling out seats about every other year, it makes you wonder about that waitlist.....I have never seen lowers advertised either. My guess is they are not having as much success getting people to upgrade to lowers as they have in the past.
  23. The (in)famous wait list returns: http://tickets.redskins.com/general-season-tickets/
  24. ...that guy stealing the sign should have said he was getting it as a souvenir for Dennis Rodman, then they would have let him go..... Oh well, I guess we will need to send Rodman over to get him.........
  25. Anyone who is on the Redskins bandwagon about the prices not increasing in 2012 - 2015 is kidding themselves. You know why they didn't increase? BECAUSE THE TEAM SUCKED! >> Not only did they not increase prices, they took out seats three times in the last five years as well (IE lowered supply) https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/redskins/for-third-time-in-six-years-redskins-remove-seats-from-fedex-field/2015/06/01/555299d6-088a-11e5-a7ad-b430fc1d3f5c_story.html
