I think the Jets do take a QB honestly. Their GM (Joe Douglass) didn't draft Darnold. I think Wilson is destined to go there. They still have Seattle's 1st to take BPA (probably another o-lineman or RB) and a ton of cap space. I don't see how Detroit trades up. That roster is trash (how did we lose to them?). All of the WRs are FAs, they have no defensive speed AND no cap space. They can't trade Stafford for a 1st, and then trade that 1st+their own to move up. Either trade Stafford and hope Lance falls, or get as many picks as you can, tank, and draft the QB next year. A team isn't going to trade a vet QB w/o a ready replacement. Right now, I have: 1). Jax-Lawrence 2). Nyj-Wilson 3). Mia-Sewell (could be Fields honestly. Tua has been pretty bad. Move Jackson to RT) 4). Atl-Parsons (Atl have NO cap space. Getting rid of Ryan is impossible. They need to rebuild) 5). Cin-Chase (Burrow-Chase reunited. Green is gone this off-season. Boyd is more of a slot. Higgins is a big body) 6). Phi-Smith 7). Det-Lance

First, root for Pats to beat Bills tomorrow. Here's who we need to "root" for next week to get highest possible pick if we lose: 1). Lions over Minny 2). Giants over Dallas 3). Panthers over Saints 4). Denver over Raiders 5). Chargers over Chiefs 6). 49ers over Seattle 7). Pats over Jets We could get the 7th pick potentially. That could mean... 1). Jax-Lawrence 2). Nyj-Wilson 3). Mia (from Texans)-Sewell 4). Atl-Fields 5). Cin-Parsons 6). Phi-Chase 7). Was-(Lance, Slater, Smith, Pitts???)

Well, we can certainly use his height with Haskins airmailing all his throws

Detroit is only trading Stafford if they have a young QB in place. If they do trade him, I figure they'll trade him to the AFC if they can. Indy makes a ton of sense. Ditto NE. Ditto Denver. If Lance falls to them, I could see them trading their pick to any of those teams.

I figure that Sewell and Slater are the top two tackles on the board and will be gone. Does Darrisow slip? I'd agree that Collins might be there as LBs tend to fall in the draft.

I’d take Moore personally, buts is really in the eye of the beholder

Yeah, if any of the top 5 QBs are not there, I'll take BPA and take the best LT or say screw it and take Najee or Etienne.

He's not going top 3 (I think QB is set in stone for 1-2), and Cincy takes Sewell at 3. We have to hope Carolina or Miami takes him. I don't see Atlanta taking him (they need to rebuild their team and not go for skill guys). I can see Miami taking him honestly if he's there. They already have Parker, Preston Williams, and Bowden. Geseki wasn't drafted by them.
-
Yeah, no way he falls to 19-24 range. Hockenson (who has quietly had an excellent season) went top 10. In the current top 10, I could see Carolina, Miami (via Houston), Philly, Chargers (who either let Henry leave or resign him), or NYG take him.

Totally agree. I do think taking RB in the late 1st brings real value though. Nick Chubb was an early 2nd, but he's the best RB in that draft (much better than Barkley). Taking a Nick Chubb (for example) in the 20s is no waste of resources. I'd be fine taking a RB, but I think in the end, its either QB (if one slips) or LT (Darrisow, Cosmi) if we win the division. Those positions are too scarce, and we need a future LT. Plus, positional value dictates taking those positions in the 1st. LB is a MAJOR need. Maybe we go the FA route? I could see the Jets cutting CJ Mosely potentially considering he sat out the season and a new regime is coming in. Joe Douglass didn't even sign him in FA.

The Jets don't need a LT, so Sewell is out. Beckton has been fantastic for them. He's a future building block. I don't see a team trading a bounty of picks to move up for Wilson or Fields. They might be forced to take them. Carolina is building slowly and have Teddy B as a vet stopgap. They could sit pretty and take Fields/Wilson (Cincy takes Sewell no question) or Micah Parsons or Pitts/Chase/Smith. Don't give up so many assets to move up.

I think Turner has been running as much as he could. JD is just too small to run 15+ times a game. He's a 10 running touch a game guy max. Barber is tough, but is a JAG. They don't have many options, so they got to throw it. Gibson coming back would be huge. RB is a major need tbh.
