Many posts ago you mentioned Slowik's personality and initial I thought of Norval then you mentioned him as well. Rivera was a leader of men too as the players really loved the guy but obvi his personnel choices, time management, among other stuff was lacking. As many have said with a Howell or rookie QB we need a proper person to work directly with them and it seems like all the hot PCs are going to get HC jobs so if we went defensive, we would need to find the next hot to be OC. I would prefer someone established to coach/coddle the young qb and perhaps hand pick a QB coach he trusts. Back to the phrase, this season during games and hot take we hear "leader of men" so much (especially with all the HC openings) and it grinds my gears....also so overused on commentators in games in the "line to gain". Jesus how annoying. Ok just needed to get that off my chest and back to my ****tails.

I still remember when we hired Zorn as OC without a HC named in place then he left Dan's home to go put on a suit as Vinny told him he could come back and interview for the HC spot after the fans shat on the floating of Jim "putting all my chips in" Fassel as HC. What a clustery clown show that era was. Good riddance and I welcome and embrace our new overlords.

Couldn't the same be said about Sam too? No OL, no real TE but more WRs though an OC that never ran the ball and got him clobbered weekly so do we even know what we truly have? Granted with the 2nd pick, it's almost like you have to go QB if the draftniks are current and both Caleb and Drake are aligned with better prospects in recent years. Obvi its up to the new brass and if we get one of the top guys we are going after in both gm and hc, I'd trust them way over the regimes under Snyder.
