  1. Peters must have met his wife speed dating as he is working at warp speed. I do think its been more than obvious that hiring Quinn and the staff he assembled has proven more valuable than any other hire we could have made. obvi of course with new ownership but I can't imagine all the people coming here (incl Ertz before FA) if there weren't ties to the staff. As JKC said after a SB win, this is a "feeling of pure euphoria"
  2. Haha. Yeah as a waiter we always mocked folks that ordered steaks well done then asked for A1 sauce. I mean Jesus what a way to ruin a steak not having the natural juices and taste in it. This one European couple would come in every weekend and ordered a well done steak for each then two ramekins of mayo which they would smother on the steak. What a world!!
  3. Not with his hands down he's not.
  4. These one year deals are prob both on our end to sense fit then resign or their end not getting multi year offers and figured get good tape in a DQ defense and try to get a longer deal next year. Happens every offseason
  5. Sub 200 has a lot of stats of non success. Also it's crazy how some of those guys putting on weight lost height. Gravity man...it's a ****. 😅
  6. Pollard did nothing for me in FFL and also squat being the head guy with Zeke gone. No way I pay him more than a 3rd down speedster back we can fin in the draft at a cheap contract.
  7. No chance he makes it to our 2nd round pick as many mocks had. Bummer
  8. I'm in the Jerruh camp as its sounds more redneck doltish. Saw he took a paternity test today after being accused of fathering a child of a 25yo. Jeebus take my take however you will as I'm a (Jiff) guy for Gif image.
  9. I worked at Carnegie Deli in Tysons....my fav sandwich was the Broadway Danny Rose....1/2 lb of pastrami and 1/2 lb of corned beef with three pieces of rye and kraut (if wanted), mustard or Russian dressing, and pickles. Goddamn amazing and have been trying to relive that for 33 years. Some places are great but that was insane. (pic below shows the size but that looks like all one meat there.)
  10. **** you're right...I got my movie characters mixed up. Jam sandwich is from Tom Hanks in Bachelor Party.....one of my favorite movies of his when he was just slapstick like he was in Bosom Buddies. Thank you for the clarification.
  11. In the Blues Brothers song "Rubber Biscuit" they speak of eating a "jam sandwich" which is where you get two pieces of bread and "jam them together". So there's that and those guys spend a nickel in Joliet. 🤣
  12. I seem to recall that for the first name change to the Coms we had to get league permission over a years time before rebranding or changing uniforms. Or maybe that was if we wanted to change again as merch and stuff needs to be out and readily available prob cause the owners might share profits. So I wouldn't think a name change is coming til at least next year if not more and might go along with the new stadium and practice facilities. whoops sorry. Mums the word....duly noted and I sit corrected.
  13. Ads an aside, ATL fan I know said that during Quinn's entire time there he never wore short sleeves. He thought he was covering something up like tattoos or excema. Will be fun watching training camp to see if he ever wears short sleeves.
  14. I know this is ticky tack but we just call Earvin Johnson "Magic". There is only one MJ and he ain't it... no matter how good he was.
  15. Totally agree with your final paragraph. I wasn't thinking the "legends" would teach them schematic things just basics too look for and things like footwork, body control, qb and wr tendencies. I'm not thinking all former players would 'coach' the kids just saying they can look at an individuals game tape and give tips on basic fundamentals they maybe weren't taught in college or honed in on because they were elite athletes facing at times opposing players that will never sniff the NFL. That is all I meant with that.
  16. So are you then against Kerrigan working with the DL and trying to give Chase some new moves to his repertoire? Didn't we all think it was kind of cool when Sapp was in the last two training camps giving tips to our DTs even though he has no coaching experience? Would you be against Jerry Rice stopping by for a couple days to help Dotson or any young WR on how they approached the game? I wouldn't nor would I if DG actually wanted to meet with the DBs and let them pick his brain. These HOF'ers aren't like MJ who would berate young bucks and school them in embarrassing ways. I would have no problem with it especially if they have seen stuff they think could just add to the DB to think about. IMHO
