  1. I would put my chips in on Stroud to be the next great QB that's playing right now and will give Mahomes all he can handle. Of course they are still building that team with their draft fortunes of late.
  2. He has got age on his side too, just turning 21. High school and college National Championships. Can sit him a year, still growing, played in a pro style offense. And you may get extra picks. Maye at 2 or McCarthy and some comp. is what I want to happen. Keep Howell for both of the QB's whoever it is. I got past the friend's thing with Howell and believe it could work.
  3. Agee totally, no need to overpay this year. If you hit the lottery you still need to have control if you want it to last.
  4. It was a pole they took about the Mayor and the site for the stadium. They will work something out.
  5. 70% of the local neighborhood people in the lasted survey are against a stadium at the old RFK site. They want parks, fields for the kids among other things and do not want the traffic it will bring.
  6. It was the right move for the Bears no big contract for fields and a QB on another rookie contract? Was not going to happen if they drafted instead last year and took the wrong QB. Carolina lost there MoJo and now have a hard road to climb. I get the point of QB at 2 but it is not the only way. Odds favor take the QB at 2nd pick. They have to believe he is there man.
  7. Just look at last year, the Bears played it right and are set up for the new QB if they want? Look at Carolina 1 year wasted of the rookie contract and build, now they are without a 1st rd. pick to grab a top prospect. Ron sucked on the rebuild. With the right Person making the right picks and how to do it, any way can work. The 2 QB's in the S.B. were 2nd. tier and not in a tier at all. Choices and a open mind to everything is what I am trying to think about this. We all have favorites or how to do it. Let's hope new owners picked the right people to do the job.
  8. Tez Walker was ball dropping machine in the senior bowl practices, I think he could have hurt his stock bigtime. He was Maye's go to you would think just saying.
  9. Been making that point since Robert3. Mahomes is different because he was allowed to use his baseball talents. Side vision, arm angles, sliding...Guessed Daniels never played baseball when he was a kid.
  10. Lamar was most likely outside the 10 this year in passing too, less than 4,000 yds. But he won MVP for the second time. The Ravens will walk through a fire with him, the Def. too, they played and beat everybody but K.C. Mahomes numbers were down too this year but he got another ring. Just wasting time with the numbers game. They are going to pick who they think has what they need at QB.
  11. Asst. QB coach just retired at 27 (Vet). You see the list above, why do we need to bring in a Vet? We have teachers that are going to help all the Qb's. It almost feels like the people that want Howell gone are worried about Howell beating their pick out or looking over their picks shoulder? He is on a rookie contract for 2 more years and maybe longer who knows, why trade him? Draft another QB later too if they like one?
  12. The D.C. thing is true, All the big Schools get first 's on a lot most of the local talent. Durant went to Texas. Mins away from MD. GT.
  13. LSU, is always up there top 5/10 mostly in HS recruiting with Bama,OHST, Texas, Georgia Lately, Then LSU, Mich, Penn ST. Florida, FL. ST. Clemson...and a few others every year. They have talent and it's hard to figure out why they are as bad as you say?
  14. Familiar Coaches Hope your right, preseason games to regular season was not starter caliber. His weight is always going to be a concern on running downs. I do like the new coaches and they will be a big upgrade for all.
  15. I agree you have the tackles he will make plays still at his age. And a big need till you get the youth.
  16. Forbes has been nothing about dominance in the NFL just the opposite. The speed WR's beat him, bigger WR's not (height abuse him). I think the best we can hope for is a 3rd down CB.
  17. Players like this are what we do not need, If he was anything special the Bills would keep him. He is all or nothing with a good QB, way overrated. We have a bunch of 600/700 WR's on the team. No.3/4 WR @ 13 mil?
  18. Did we pick him at like 16? Seems like most of the picks recently by Ron and company were reaches.
  19. We did not reach for Haskins, (they missed) not hard to do it appears, look at the Jets for reference. Hindsight says they should have went to the well again? Reality they did not.
  20. I guess you are bringing in a Vet$$ to hold the blue chippers hand. If so, makes no sense at all we have a young Vet coach for that. Having Howell on a rookie contract for 2 years+ is the play for me? Also Howell does not have to be worth more next year, but it's possible? Or you have 2 rookies and a practice squad QB on the team at QB that would eat a draft pick up unless he is a RFA.
  21. And Rogers out for the season made it a couple plays. disagree on OL adequate and think it is no better than ours. agree with everything else, Blue Chippers crapped on them over the years. Went with the Vet this year for 35mil that worked out great. Like I said we need Luck, they have had none.
  22. Jet's took there swing and struck out with Wilson, just saying. Hope we have better luck.
  23. Of course if he cannot beat out either you have no choice. But Brissett is not cheap and may move on still do not want another castoff coming in.
  24. Seems like everybody wants a backup option for the Blue Chipper. You pull the trigger, you got to go for it, no second thoughts. Why bring a vet in to hold your Blue Chipper's hand? All 3 Blue Chippers started last year. I can see letting a 2nd tier QB maybe sit for a year.
