  1. Purely out of curiosity, what / who caused you to leave the first time? Was it KB? We have had several complaints about him lately.
  2. No way on Gods green is either Cousins or Wilson coming here to be a place holder for a rookie QB for a year. Neither gives a rats ass about mentoring a rookie. Bring Brisset back if the idea is to allow a rookie to sit for a year. Its all moot anyway, were drafting a QB at 2 who will start day one.
  3. If comparing Howell to Maye, as simple as it sounds, the biggest difference is height. Howell will never be great due to his height.
  4. It appears that after Walker the next highest rated offensive player for N.C. was a center who comes in at #555 (those entering the draft)
  5. Some serious house cleaning going on. Refreshing that there seems to be guys in the building that recognize weaknesses on the roster and appare tly arnt going to wait around and look to address those weaknesses. I like to imagine the conversation between Howell and Peter's during their walk..." yeah this bruise is on Leno whiffing...this one...Gates". ..Peters replys, "I got your back..watch this".
  6. Im sure Harris knows exactly how bad the facilities are and how bad the optics look. Im also sure he has had discussions with the front office and HC about improvements that need to be made and how they should address this with potential free agents. If the facilities were not a priority Peters, Quinn et al would have never signed up to be a part of this organization. These things will take time but to think that it is not a priority because no news has leaked does not mean that they are not being addressed behind the scenes. Dan is gone!.
  7. Im totally fine with this. Im extremely confident that Peters is in charge of player acquisition and Harris is there just to take it all in. Peters will run this draft.
  8. I can see the benefit to the team, but curious as to why FED EX decided to bail. Guess its in the article but like Twitter / X I'm not subscribed. lol
  9. Picture reminds of of buildings around Chernobyl...after the melt down Bad News Bears right?
  10. OK, ill ask. What is the significance of this move? Seems a bit odd that they would cut ties just as things are looking up. Someone on here with more smarts than me will have the answer.
  11. Hardly a vote of confidence for Russ. Thinking we might be in for a wild ride leading into free agency.
  12. Pretty cool stuff hidden among the coach speak. Excited to see what they do with the DB's, lot of praise for Quan Martin at the end. OL and DB were not good last year, we're obviously getting help in both areas this year, but would love to see what coaching brings out in the guys that remain. Throw Jamin Davis into the group of players that could shine with better coaching.
  13. Growing up in England in the late 70s everything ultimately became a sandwich. Couldn't really afford meat, peas went on bread, beans on bread (toast), chip butties (French fry sandwiches), banana sandwiches. Mopped up your breakfast with bread. Only requirement was gobs of butter on the bread.
  14. Yeah Snyder was broke. Selling the Commanders was his only option to panhandling in front of the Capital Building....though that would have been pretty cool to see. Amazing that this franchise ultimately saved him from himself / ruin.
  15. The problem with building a team first and getting your QB later is you will probably end up with a middish round pick and not have the chance to select the very best QBs available. Sure you may find a QB in the draft in later rounds that will work out or you may sign a good vet. But that rookie contract for QB's is huge. if you sign a good vet QB your really going to pay out the nose which trickles down to signing other players that may have helped. Having a chance to draft a really top level QB does not happen often.
  16. This to me is key, we dont know nearly as much as the team will know about these guys. Im going to side with the guys doing in the in depth research (which I am very confident they will) over anyone outside of the process. And this time there is a process, previously the scouts, GM etc. may have had a process in place but no doubt in my mind that all went to **** on draft day. Like you said though if Peters does not go QB at 2 and drafts down he has to get it right for the sake of his future career. Lot of smoke between now and then but I would be shocked if the obvious choice is not the choice made come draft day.
  17. Its interesting how to a large extent the way organizations are mirrors of the owners. People, whether they want to or not, will for the most part act in a manner that is favorable toward their boss. Snyder was a cluster ****, his team was thus a cluster****. Harris is very deliberate, process focused with an eye toward the future and sustainability. This has become very apparent over the last several weeks. He will give those he brought in the ability to do their jobs without him meddling but keep in mind he chose these folks, guys who generally align with his philosophies. Snyder brought in the big names without a thought toward the actual fit in the organization, up until he became a cartoon figure and could only hire those who were desperate or chasing money. Just my long winded way of saying expect everything from here on out to be very well thought out and researched, Starting with taking a QB at pick #2.
  18. I think the only way Peters screws this up is if he has too much time to think about it and overthinks it, like he was trying to prove to his new boss how good he is. I dont think that will happen, if he wants to put his "stamp" on the draft he can do that in later rounds. Having said that I think there are now so many "cooler" heads in this organization and folks who all will have input to a degree that will actually be listened to rather than ignored, as in the previous regime. I dont think we will see any really surprise head scratcher picks out of this group. Look for solid, researched picks, that actually fit the plan.
