Corcaigh Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Learn the game and the skills of the position you will be playing - there's a lot more to it than its undeserved reputation in some circles of being an undisciplined game for hard men. Xameil Posted September 18, 2008 Share Posted September 18, 2008 What team you thinking about joining? Learn your position, but learn others as well. Be versatile, and you'll be a better player for it, and probably get more playing time.Tackle low...around the waist. No shoulder blocking, when going for a tackle, always look at the waist. If you are carrying the ball and going in for a hit, stay on your feet unless you have support. then goto the ground and try and place the ball out in front of you so your team can ruck over you.
