Thinking Skins
I remember last year somebody picked up Ben Gay. I dont know how he did, but i'm wondering when it is and is there any good talent there?
OrangeSkin
The Browns had him last year. George Michael was raving about Gay in their pre-season game against us, but he was pretty much a no-show in the regular season. He got picked up off waivers by the Colts recently. Blondie
On a side note of this topic.... Ben Gay and Rock were in competition in high school for the running back in the Houston area with the most yardage during their senior year. Gay ended the season with a few more yards. Baylor decided to take Gay on a partial qualifier scholarship instead of Rock. While at Baylor, it was reported that Gay was in trouble on and off the field, and didn't have much of a work ethic.. I believe he lasted one year. Since he didn't go to Baylor, Rock went to Trinity Valley Community College and made quite an impression. He walked on at Kansas State.....and earned a scholarship after the first week of practice. While at KSU, he won several awards, and was noted for his work ethic. Just thought I would throw this out.....and give more insight into Rock. Texas Blondie
PCS
the supplemental draft is apparently a hush hush kind of a thing for the NFL. At least according to this guy on a Green Bay site. http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Rhodes/8077/packerdraft/articles/hush.html About mid July last year. seems like the Rock has a friend in Texas. NavyDave
The slacker with the popular sports name gets praise while the guy who busts his butt may turn out to be more successful if he can catch on.
