clown
2004 Draft: 1st WR: Fitzgerald 2nd WR: Roy Williams 2003 Draft: 1st WR: Charles Rogers 2nd WR: Andre Johnson 2002 Draft: 1st WR: Donte Stallworth 2nd WR: Javon Walker 2001 Draft: 1st WR; David Terrell 2nd WR: Koren Robinson 2000 Draft: 1st WR: Peter Warrick 2nd WR: Plaxico Burress Anyone noticing a trend....???? the 2nd WR taken in each of the last 5 drafts has easily outperformed the 1st WR taken.... just throwing it out there for those who will be bummed out when Edwards is gone by #9. Brother Redskin
Interesting but for our situation you may want to list the third recievers taken. just a thought.

terpfan
That is interesting. Alot of that is because of the situation they went to and injuries, but its a trend nonetheless...

The third WRs have been horrible... but the Vikes have two first round picks... so they can go defense with their 18th I believe.

Like it matters if we sign Williams 3rd or 2nd. He is still the same guy. We may end up just tradeing down anyway.
KingTaylor22
good spot. That mean Mike Williams will out preform Braylon.
Ignatius J.
I'm sure that the fact that the second recievers are going to better teams is totally irrelevant.

Brother Redskin
Ok I decided to take a deeper look into whether the best recievers are taken in even the first 4 or 5 wrs taken. 04' 1st rd L.fitzgerald Roy Williams Reggie Williams Lee Evans M.Clayton M.Jenkins R.Woods still kind of early to judge these guys, but Roy williams looks to be a star in the making 03' 1st rd C.Rogers A.Johnson B.Johnson Best reciever in draft A.Boldin Rd 2 02' D.stallworth A.lelie J.walker best wr in draft J.walker 01' D.terrell K.robinson R.gardner S.moss F.mitchell R.wayne best wr in draft C.johnson Rd 2 00' P.warick P.Burress T.Taylor S.Morris R.Jay Soward weak wr draft best probably burress 99' T.Holt D.Boston T.Edwards best holt 98' K.Dyson randy moss Marcus Nash best wr obviously nash, j/k who the heck is he 97' I.Hilliard Yatil Green Reidel anthony Rae Carruth hilliard the best of the bunch this proves that I don't really remember some of these first round picks, that where a player is picked only sets their rookie contract and that the scouts are being paid too highly.
