Henry
Those posts do look eerily familiar. Bailey's a good player who had a bad night. However, I don't know if anyone anywhere thought of him as the best CB in the game until he went to Denver. Maybe they'll shut up about it now, though I doubt it. Leonard Washington
its pretty much the same arguments we had here. champ is a very good player but doesn't meet lofty expectations.
Saqs
I think we have the new 50/50 at the cornerback position
Skins11
Saqs, that made me think, we should play Gardner at CB! He doesn't have to catch the balls all the time. If the ball hits him in the chest, he may drop the easy catch, but that's okay since corners rarely have the ball right in their chest. A lot of times they have to make an exceptional play/circus catch to get the pick - and Gardner is better at those than he is at the easy catches. Hmmm. Boss_Hogg
I can count 4 times Bailey has been burned an national TV, yet I cannot think of one time Springs or Smoot as been burned this year.:laythehur
BIGGS_DADDY
Champ Bailey is a very good CB but he is far from shutdown. Champ got beat much the same way in Washington by the likes of Amani Toomer, Mushin Muhammed, and Marty Booker. He has always had troubles against big physical receivers. Bottom line is if you talk the talk you have to walk the walk. No team fears throwing in Champs direction and he is vulnerable over top. The league knows it. jrfriedm
People are starting to come around. Over the next couple of years, when Gibbs has got his offense running, and Portis is making plays, then people will know and understand that we made a good trade.
