Just got back from Italy

Recommended Posts

Been gone for two whole weeks, and I'm glad to be back. I haven't seen the two preseason games, so I have a request from you all.

I need your impressions. Who is doing well, who isn't. Simple, I think. And how is Taylor doing? I noticed he had two INTs in the first game, but other than that?

The reason I'm doing it this way is to avoid shifting through twenty threads to find one good one.

If anyone thinks a single thread deals with this subject well, go ahead and link me.

Thanks a lot. Hail.

Welcome back! I wondered where you were because you are quite often the first reply on any new threads.

For the Denver game I liked these:http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68215

For last night's game this has some good back and forth:http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68905

For Training camp which you might have caught do a search on users 'bnacpa' and 'monkey66' who has some great pictures.

Of course the breaking news forum is always good.

Did I miss anything, guys?

That about covers it :doh::laugh:

Typical short sightedness, eh?

It's the preseason.

Hasselbeck. hmm, I think I was rooting for him last season. oi. Where is my mind?

Portis hasn't really done a lot as far as stats go. But he is one of those runners who averages about 3 yards a carry then hits a 60 yarder for a TD and brings in a 5.5 ypc at the end of the day. Barry Sanders? Shh Shh.

Gibbs? WASHED UP!?!! REPENT! REPENT!

Sean Taylor is a straight up beast. He didn't get much playing time in the first two games, but he came away with two interceptions, a touchdown, a forced fumble, showed he was a force against the run, has fantastic instincts when working in space, and runs ridiculously fast for a man his size while looking like he's only jogging. And oh yeah. By last night's game against the Panthers, they were already avoiding his side of the field when he was in the game.

Our Dline sucks but then it doesn't. Betts is second behind Portis, ( but he hasn't seen the field yet), Gardner still sucks because he made Brunell look bad, ( but then Brunell doesn't need that kind of help does he? ), and there's a Hooters in Fedex. :)

Honestly, kind of a weird display isn't it??

All of the other team's cases were full of stuff, so I'm not sure what was up with the Eagles??

Maybe the maintenance crew has a Skins fan on it, who knows ;) but it was just too good an opportunity to pass up!

Nice to know we were thinking of you though, huh EL?

Thanks, ZlT. That's the type of analysis you don't get from the Panthers broadcast.

It's always difficult to gauge safety play given the relatively tight angle used in broadcasts, but it was what seemed to be the case, as best I could tell. And it looks like some of the guys who went to the game corroborated my thoughts in this thread.
