I know that I’m a writer and I’m not supposed to get all geeked up about something like this and tell everyone I know, but I have to break that rule because it tells you what kind of person Joe Gibbs is. Last week, I sent two copies of Gut Check to Gibbs c/o Redskins Park. I autographed one to him and enclosed a letter asking that he sign one for me. I was fairly confident that he’d respond, but I wasn’t sure. In today’s mail, I got the second copy of the book back. If you write to the Skins.....sometimes you get at least a letter back. Back in....like Freshman English....we worked on all sorts of stuff at the end of the semester.....Resumes...professional letters. The Prof wanted to help people get jobs. I already had a job....so I wrote a professional letter to Norv Turner...basically to say good luck with the upcoming summer and next season. The dork wrote me back pretty quickly. I'm willing to bet he RARELY got a nice letter. However, its cool that the team got the letter to the Coach. Congrats Man....Gibbs signature is bigtime.
