There was also another one that was similar that showed where you stand in the political spectrum, ie: liberal, conservative, centrist etc...

I didn't know I was that "Libertarian". Overall I think their needs to be A LOT less govt at the federal level. Govt bothers me less the more local it is. At least then you can move and still keep the constitution.

This is an interesting topic. When I did my poll I found out that I was way out of the mainstream with a Libertarian Candidate as my top choice. I guess I am out of touch with American voters and with the country in general.

I am wondering about those who had "Socialist Candidate" in their top 5 (tex, chomerics, phishhead, etc.) what makes you think more government will help us prosper as a nation? Is there a specific country/government that you think the US should try to pattern itself after either now or in the past?

As I tend to identify with the "Libertarian Candidate", I fail to see how increasing government helps the people governed. Although I don't endorse the Libertarian agenda, it is a lot closer to what I would like to see than we currently have. I believe that equality of opportunity is far more important than equality of outcome.

For those who have the socialist candidate ranked highly, would you like to see our govt switched with another?

Even though I think our Govt is too big, and I would like to see it cut in half (as taxes and spending go) I can't think of another govt that is better right now. What are your thoughts?
