CTaylor42
Jerry McNamara for the Syracuse Orangemen had 43 points against BYU. He had 27 at half time. He shot 9/13 from 3 point range.

NASMTrainer
I hate Maryland and don't think they deserved to be a #4 but I wil be a huge Maryland fan when they play the Orangemen
OrangeSkin
McNamara is a beast. You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him. I don't believe the Terps will be able to do that, or contain Warrick either for that matter. And Skin-N-NY, what's up with the anti-'Cuse sentiment? Canadian Hog
Allow me to quote the writing on the t-shirts worn by the 'Cuse in the 1996 National Championship vs. the Kentucky Wildcats: "The 'Cuse is in the house, Oh my God!" Let's go Orange!
KDawg
It's Gerry with a G, damnit, get it right... Go 'Cuse!
The X-Factor
McNamara is just plain sick. He can light it up from the 3. MD - SU should be a real good game. I want to see who plays better, Gilchrist or McNamara.
du7st
'Cuse student here. Had to cut out of class today to watch the game in the student lounge on the projector the school setup. You should have heard everyone scream with each G Mac trey and then when the network cut out to show the end of the Wake Forest game. G Mac finally burst out of the slump that he has been in most of the year. Not that he had a bad year but this is the kind of game he should be having all the time - he is that good. It hasn't helped that losing starting point guard Billy Edelin for the year has forced G Mac to play point and shooting guard in most situations. Can't wait for saturday's game - should be one for the ages.
The X-Factor
Just imagine if you guys still had Carmelo. It would be next to impossible to stop Syracuse.
du7st
Yes with Carmelo and Edelin you would be looking at a 1-2 loss team at this point. Boeheim didn't even try to replace Carmelo, instead he started Pace (a guard) at small forward most of the season.
Soliloquy
I thought it was dry, but engrossing. Peeking into the corridors of power during one of the most tumultuous eras... oh wait. I thought you were talking about this McNamara. Never mind. Move along.
@DCGoldPants
my two favorite college teams facing each other. It sucks for me. But growing up a Cuse fan....but being a Terp Grad. I have to stick with UMD. Gerry said it himself, that was the game of his life. I don't think BYU had anybody to guard him the way Maryland can. Watching Duke tonight just crush a team with no business being at the Dance made me realize how different the Terps looked last weekend beating Duke in North Carolina...on the biggest stage in the ACC. a game against Syrcause in Denver shouldn't be so awful. TD_washingtonredskins
He was sick. This has the makings of a huge letdown when they face Maryland though. I can seem him pulling a John Starks (if anyone remembers that) and being ice cold. I do hope Maryland loses though.
