Perfect Offseason

With all the crazy rumors going around about trades, draft picks, and free agents, it's hard to sort out the best possible scenarios.

Tell me what the Skins could do this offseason to really complete the package. Tell Snyder YOUR perfect scenario this year: Trades, Drafts, and FA's

Fisrt of all, I'd like to get Portis and keep him! It makes no sense to me to turn around and trade Portis to NE for only God knows what in the draft...

Then sign Jevon Jearse and one of Miami's corners from FA.

Draft Sean Taylor, fill our other holes through draft of FA

let Pat win the Starting Job while Brunell tutors him during the week.

Sounds like a plan to me!

except i would also like to pick up E.Kinney and Winfield

Assuming Brunnel and Portis are done deals, I'd:

- Hold onto Portis

- Sign either Kearse or Wistrom (probably Wistrom)

- Sign Winfield or Springs (probably Springs)

- Sign Kleinsasser

- Draft Tommie Harris or Vince Wilfork (probably trade down a few spots and nab whichever one falls to me)

- Try to trade Betts for a draft pick

sounds perfect to me... but is it likely to get marion and if so, would he really make up for trading down and missing Sean Taylor?:dallasuck

Best possible scenario is to solidify D through FA, pick up Kearse and Winfield (both have played in Williams scheme) grab Washington from Indy or Holdman from Bears (he will have a lot to prove) Grant from Carolina if possible - keep #5 pick and draft Winslow (it's a long shot and not many people agree, but he is a stud TE and would be exactly what we need in passing situations to take the third down pressure off of Portis.

This is as close as I can get to perfect AND realistic

- Keep Portis

- Sign Kearse

- Draft Sean Taylor

- Sign Bobby Taylor (We could call it the Taylor-made Defense)

- Sign Kinney

- Sign Gary Walker or Robaire Smith

- Sign Warrick Holdman or Marcus Washington

I love all of this, but it doesn't address the corner situation enough for me. I really like the idea of Sam madison or Ty Law, but it probably won't happen...

Sign Portis to a fat, cap friendly deal.

Sign the following players:

DE: Kearse or Winstrom

DT: Coleman and/or Griffin

CB: Taylor or Winfield

TE: Kleinsasser

trade the #5 pick to either the Texans (#10) or Pittsburgh (#11).

Draft DE Udeze with the #1 pick

Draft DT Marcus Tubbs/DT Chad Lavalais/DT Dwan Edwards with the 2nd rounder that we get for trading down.

I like this one, but shouldn't we draft a Punter with our 5th rounder? Also, do you mean to definitely sign Daniels, then either Kearse or Wistrom? I totally agree with this! Though I think we should go for Wistrom because Kearse might ask too much, that way we could try and go for both Winfeild and Springs to give us depth a the Cornerback position. :notworthy

Portis

Brunell

Wistrom (Kearse want $18m sb - no friggin' way)

trade down from # 5 and pick up Udeze and Ben Troupe

sign Bobby Taylor or Troy Vincent (Winfield wants Ray Lewis $$$, forget him).

Erron Kinney

Sign at least 2 of the following:Berry, Robaire Smith,Rod Coleman

Pick up a decent safety

Extend Ramsey, Smoot, McCants

Not commenting on the moves we've already made or are about to make, this is my dream offseason.

Sign Kleinsasser. Complete the offense.

Defensively, sign Kearse, Griffin, Daniels, Holdman and Springs while drafting Taylor.

Alternetly, draft Winslow and add Grant to the free agent signings. This offseason would essentially complete the roster in such a way as we dramatically improve the defensive line, maintain with only a slight decrease the linebackers and overall improve the secondary with Taylor or just diminish it with Grant.

That would give us legitimate (or prospective) playmakers on every level of the defense.
