prophet
what happens if we go 10-6 next year, we win 4 div games yet we miss the playoffs, with a major asst coaching staff overhaul, and adding a good dt and de? what would you say about the past 2 years? and what would be your thoughts of sos then? TC4
Then maybe, just maybe, there will be HOPE!!!! I would MUCH RATHER finish 10-6 and miss the playoffs than miss them because we are 5-11, 6-10, or 7-

Then that means in 2005 we will be the favorites for the superbowl.
Henry
I'd feel pretty good about things. Now, all we have to do is actually go 10-6 next year ...
Hitman56
I'll believe it when I see it. I'd settle for 9-7 with 3 division wins. That would be progress.

xanathos19
If we go 10-6 next year, we'll be in the play-offs, becasue the NFC will still be mediocre, adn we'll be assured a Wild Card with a 4-2 divisional record. 10 wins has gotten the wild card the previous 4-5 years, and there's nothing that shows me that it will be any diferent next year. Even Madder
Why do you think we'll go 10-6 next year? How are we going to get 5 games better just with a few new players on the DL? Just adding some new assistants probably won't (could, but probably won't) provide the kick in the ass these guys need.

ross3909
Dont do it guys. You are just setting your self up and it isnt even the off season yet. At least wait till preseason for all this 10-6 pie in the sky talk. Sit back and enjoy our season is almost upon us....it is almost February! If you really want to not be pissed off next year just know going in that we are a 3-13 team. That way when the doors start to fall off in the 4th game of the season, no big deal. Even Madder
What are you talking about? The Redskins season is just about to begin! They're the best team in the league from February through August. Lots of news. Big time signings. Huge additions. Predictions of Superbowls. Breathless articles about the fun-n-gun. Hell, this season isn't even over and we're already 10-6 next year. Nice! Of course, all that will change come next September, but don't burst our bubble. This is the only fun we get to have. NavyDave
Its possible after we cut the stand around players, get a first rounder for champ, sign springs to pair with smoot and a disgruntled Bobby taylor to play safety, use our first to Snag a RFA DE from the Dolphins to pair with Holsey and realise the potential of a healthy in shape russell, haley and dalton. And I celebrate with a Beyonce, ND and Christina samich

Trevor
It's not going to happen so it's not worth talking about. Unless Spurrier leaves this offseason then perhaps it could happen.

88Comrade2000
The Giants will be better. The Eagles will be at least the same. The Boys will be better. I seriously doubt we'll go 10-6. Simple, no playoffs in 2004 and Spurrier is gone-regardless of the record. I'm still holding out some hope that he's gone after this season. Ask and you shall receive  2004 Opponents with their current record..... Home: GB(8-6), MIN(8-6), BAL(8-6), CIN(8-6), NFCS(Tampa 7-7) Away: CHI(6-8), DET(4-10), CLE(4-10), PIT(5-9), NFCW(SF 6-8) New Orleans and Tampa still have a possibility to switch (both are 7-7 with NO holding a better div. record) and Seattle could possibly switch with San Francisco (although one win by Seattle guarantees us SF). Record-wise, the away schedule is weaker than the home schedule. All four "set-in-stone" home game opponents are battling each other for division championships. Potentially, we could face a 13-3 team, a 11-5 team, four 10-6 teams, and a 9-7 team on our home schedule!
