TK
http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/newssentinel/7370829.htm Redskins Move Hamdan to Roster Associated Press WASHINGTON - The Washington Redskins moved rookie quarterback Gibran Hamdan from their practice squad to the active roster Friday to be the backup for Tim Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck was expected to start Sunday against the New Orleans Saints in place of Patrick Ramsey, who has not practiced this week because of a broken his right foot. It will be the first start for Hasselbeck, who threw for 150 yards last Sunday in the Redskins' loss to Miami. Hamdan was the Redskins' seventh-round draft pick out of Indiana, where he passed for 2,115 yards and nine touchdowns in his senior year. The Redskins made room for Hamdan on the roster by waiving running back John Simon.

OrangeSkin
Damn, talk about not giving Simon a chance. Couldn't we have cut somebody else?
Mickalino
BCS led the "Sage the Rage" mission. Blondie led the ROCK coalition So which member is the official leader of the "Hamdan Rules Bandwagon" ?
PCS
Considering the beating the team and hamden took from the board back when he was drafte, could be hard to find a lucky volunteer for that bandwagon. Looking back, if this had been Brand Banks, then maybe you could have had somebody step up.

I was thinking the same thing, but we just have a boatload of RBs. I might have kept Simon over Sultan, but I don't think we could cut another position to keep yet another back.
