@DCGoldPants
How about Lombardi for 2K post and Joe Gibbs for 2.5K? He is the mack daddy who got us those pretty Superbowl Trophies. ------------------ Pootie Tang whoop your ass so bad, you can write it off on your taxes! Brave
The Lombardi Trophy as an icon for the leading poster. Other icon candidates: Joe Gibbs, Ken Houston hugging Garrison at the 1, Art Monk, Champ Bailey, Walter Payton (well-liked opponents?)
indyskinsfan
Walter Payton will always have a special place in my sports heart! I like the Art Monk one for 2,500. I feel Lombardi should be 4,000 posts and Gibbs should be out of sight! Why?? Well, it shouldn't be easy to have the best! Ok, you can start the stoning me now (I've got my helmet on) HTTR!!!
redman
Nah, any Redskins fan who posts more than anyone else should have Slingin' Sammy Baugh! ------------------ "Loosen up, Sandy baby. Mickalino
Argue no more. Anyone who posts over 2500 times deserves a picture of himself with Anna K sitting on his lap.
Om
(Hope I'm not jumping the gun here, Blade, but seems like this might be a good time to mention this.) I believe we are still planning to run the "Game Prediction Contest" we talked about a couple of months back this coming season, and the winner will ultimately be rewarded with his very own "THE MAN" ranking to wear for a full year. And I believe that the icon for said "Man" is going to be none other than ... Joe Gibbs. Look for more info on this Coming Attraction to be posted soon. NavyDave
I don't know about Anna K because Jewel, who looks like her twin has healthier err lungs. Art Monk , Lombardi, Coach Allen and at the top J Gibbs ------------------ Dave
TennesseeCarl
If nobody else wants him, I'll take a George Preston Marshall icon. There really are a lot of players from the past we might tap - Cliff Battles, Bobby Mitchell, Charley Taylor, Larry Brown... The iconmeisters that be have lots of grist for their mills. But hands off Joe Gibbs. He should remain untouchable.
KMP
What no James Washington or Stanley Richards icons? In between Warterboy and Rookie we could have Scrubs or Bumbs as I like to refer to those two dead weight loosers. ------------------
Larry
If you're gonna greate all those, then you need a Diesel. (I could live with a rule that only CURRENT players be used, to keep things fresh, and to avoid the "why don't you have. . " syndrome).
