NEDCSLIM Posted November 18, 2013 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Yeah this was part of the problem with the passing game yesterday, no Reed or Hankerson. Then they dont even dress Morgan, IMO another instance where at least having Fred Davis dress would have helped. Paulsen is good at blocking and the occasional pop pass but i think the speed difference throws off the timing of the plays, for instance that play action pass where he was wide open, well to me looks like he stopped running and the QB is throwing to a spot, they run that play with Reed and Davis who get there faster so the timing seem to be off a bit. If the interior line is not going to give him a nice pocket to throw from they have to find some receivers that can win at the line and get open. Its crazy, when they give him time receivers are covered, when they manage to get open he is dodging pressure up the middle and cant see them. PlayAction Posted November 18, 2013 Share Posted November 18, 2013 Timing shouldn't be an issue with Paulson because RG3 threw to him all of last year when Davis was out. But, losing both Reed and Hankerson hurt as those two are the primary pass catchers after Garcon. Should the coaches have been able to predict that both would be hurt? No. If Reed is out then it's time for Niles Paul to step up instead of being just the KR. If Hankerson is out then one of the other active WRs needs to step up. If the other WRs can't step it up then their time on the team is limited. You can't knock Williams - he's an undrafted rookie playing in his first NFL game - at least he caught the 2 pt conversion. Skins really don't have a good core of WRs - - hopefully they'll be able to acquire 1-2 in free agency. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
