But I also think that teams is SUPPOSED to be a place where you groom players for the future while you satisfy the intent of special teams. Danny Smith did none of this... in fact, he often kept players past their prime. I'm honestly not sure how much of the players choice was his outside of returner and maybe one player, but the fact remains that we weren't special on special teams for years. Hopefully Burns is able to take some the young guys and coach them up on teams so they develop as DC is saying above. Surprised the thread go no responses. hmm. Things are a little slow this time of year. I wouldn't sweat it. Come July/August, this will be a hot topic.
