Tarantula
Terrell Owens is discussing a contract that will make him co-owner, CEO, and wide receiver for the Allen (TX) Wranglers of the Indoor Football League. Wranglers GM Drew Pearson estimates that the deal is about "70 percent" done. "It won't be T.O. anymore. It will be Terrell Owens," said Pearson. Owner Jon Frankel had offered Owens a six-figure deal a month ago, and the dialogue has increased from there. "At first everybody thought it was a big joke but it wasn't a big joke. It's serious," Wranglers coach Pat Pimmel said. "It's real close. I think it will be within the next week or so." Source: Dallas Morning News I realize T.O's rep has been very shaky, but I'm still surprised no teams even took a look at him. I can honestly see him back in the NFL next season. Califan007 The Constipated
I can honestly see him back in the NFL next season. Why? He'll turn 39 before the end of next season. What possible reason would anyone have for wanting to sign the guy?

I mean, I see where you're coming from, but he's a physical freak. If he's fully recovered from his leg injury, and still has NFL-caliber speed, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jets or someone take him on. He didn't exactly perform poorly last season as a 37-year old WR.

You're only 22, but trust me...the 2-year difference between 22 and 24 is MUCH different than the 2-year difference between 37 and 39 ...especially when there's a major injury within those 2 years. You're almost certainly right! Haha. I'm just saying that it wouldn't particularly surprise me if Owens played again, and had a decent year. TO does not look like a 30 year old even though. And conditioning is key, is he is NFL shape? I could see him playing again in a limited role. Leonard Washington
There are a few teams that could absorb TO without hurting the development of the team. My guesses would be the Patriots, Saints, Raiders, Rams, Detroit, and Texans.

There are 50 year old men out there with bodies that "look" like well-toned 30 year olds, but that doesn't mean they can DO everything a well-toned 30 year old can do lol... LOLOL, seriously though I get what your saying but TO has spent his life working out as part of his job and this time off has probably benefited him. And again in a limited role he could be productive, IMO. In fact as much as I dislike what TO is, I thought he could have been brought in to help the Skins in the RZ and on third down this year. As someone else said above (or maybe it was you lol), if T.O. did have one more good season next year it wouldn't exactly surprise me, and for the reasons you just said...however, I just can't imagine teams clamoring to add a 38-39 year old WR coming off a serious injury to their roster.
