Chiefinonhaze
I, like every other Redskins homer, was overwhelmed with a feeling of optimism after watch Rex Grossman play the first half of football against the Steelers. It made me question if this performance was a coincidence, or if it an early sign of Grossman turning a corner. I then went to NFL.com and looked at his game logs. Turns out, he has almost always played well in the first preseason game. He also tends to play better in the 4th preseason game as well. The only problem is, he usually plays terrible in the 2nd and 3rd preaseason games. These are the preseason games that feature the starters moreso than the other preseason games. It will be really interesting to see how he performs in these games and I think it will help us gauge his level of consistency going into the season:logo:
Llevron
It wasn't just Grossman who played well. And THAT'S were all the optimism stems from. It's a good thing.
Mickalino
The only problem is, he usually plays terrible in the 2nd and 3rd preaseason games. You left out those pesky 16 regular season games......which is relatively important, as well.
Jumbo
1. Too stupid (sorry). 2. The themes of Grossman's performance or being optimistic in general are being thoroughly discussed in several existing threads.
