skinny21 Posted January 6, 2012 Share Posted January 6, 2012 He's non essential in my opinion. I would resign him to a small deal but I would not go out of my way or break the bank for him. I think it's essential to have guys like Carriker (not necessarily him). I agree the price has to be reasonable, but given our cap situation I think we can afford a Bowen type of deal. Assuming they think he's worth it. Doing this might show the rest of the team that this FO will be fair and not just spend good money on FAs as they did in the past. Of course this staff has my vote of confidence so I'm ok with whatever they do. I'm sure they know that quality depth/rotational guys are key components to a successful team. The problem is the price tag. 3-4 ends are tough to come by and that can land him a big contract. This is an example of where our FO has to be more proactive.
