1972dodgedart
Does Perry Brooks still have his printing business off Route 7? Why did Theisman shut down his restaurants? Anyone ever eaten at Lavar's place
Dan T.
Daryl Grant was bottling and selling barbecue sauces for a while. Joe Jacoby owns a pretty successful car dealership in Warrenton, Virginia. Pat Fischer will come to your house and deliver a forearm shiver to your throat for 10 dollars. bishtw
Jacoby sold that dealership a few years ago. http://www.warrentonvirginia.org/?p=488 A part of Warrenton’s local history may be going away soon. A recent announcement from Surveyors’ Carson Ashley tells us about the possibility of a new Wawa in Warrenton on the site of the Joe Jacoby All Pro Dealership. Carson Ashley saved a copy of a Fauquier Democrat story about the new Wawa on their site. I’m not sure exactly why the dealership has sat empty for the last few years, but it’s kind of fun to see the ties that this area had to one of the Redskin’s most famous players. onedrop
Dant T and bishtw - Joes store closed about the time that chrysler announced the plan NOT to renew franchise agreements for like 30% of their dealerships. Joes place being out in warrenton was probably on the list. however, i think he actually sold the franchise before it was eliminated.

I don't know for a fact, but my sense is that it was a pretty successful business. It certainly was around for a lot of years. I remember his daughters swam competitively, and his business sponsored a major swim meet for several years - The Joe Jacoby Invitational.
