Us beating the Bears helped and the Giants still have 5 more NFC east games left. Plenty of time to catch them. Lets make a 3 team race in the NFC east. No 1-5 team has ever made the playoffs. You need to win a bunch of your games and you need the teams you're competing with to lose some. I'd prefer to have the Giants lose tonight so that no one is ahead of us. If we get to that point, then we truly do control our own destiny. If we are behind New York all season, then we'll need help later in the season in order to surpass them (no matter what we do). So, I'm more comfortable being tied with Philly and New York with Dallas 1.5 games back than having Dallas dead and the Giants a game up.
