mrjoolius
I know ratliff is a beast. But if rabach isn't cutting it, why not look at FA Hartwig at center? I know the steelers line may not have been great, but they have run the ball well over the years.
disappointedskins
man, ill take anyone. I don't like Casey Rabach AT ALL. He's cost us games last season and did horrible last night.
laxpck
Been saying it for a long time. Rabach is our weak link. But its such a nice feeling for him to go from our 2nd best OL (not that he was ANY better last year) to our worst, thanks to a FO and HC who actually care about the trenches. wilburmarshall
How does he fit in w/ our blocking scheme???...
Grimm
I'm a big fan of Rabach, but he looked terrible last night, It might be time to start looking for his replacement. I was really hoping it would be Edwin Williams would been that guy, but that didnl;t work out.
rookieskin
Umm gents, you do realize that he was lined up against one of the very best NTs we will face right? I thought that he held his own for the most part. In fact i was more concerned about how T Williams fared against Ware.
Scamp1
Rabach is a McNabb killer. Wait and see. Dude should of been gone before pre-season.
Blackwolf
Hartwig was about the same as Rabach before he hurt his shoulder. Now, he's got a bad shoulder. As a Steelers fan, I have to say that if the 'skins got Hartwig, you'd learn to hate him pretty quick.
aREDSKIN
Rabach is a McNabb killer. Wait and see. Dude should of been gone before pre-season. Rabach costs us games last year. We really needed to upgrade that position. He'll cost us games again this year just wait and see. He was pretty poor last night. Refs missed a blatant hold & take down by him last night. I don't know if hartwig is an upgrade but we'd better be scouting what's available out there.
justice98
Umm gents, you do realize that he was lined up against one of the very best NTs we will face right?I thought that he held his own for the most part. In fact i was more concerned about how T Williams fared against Ware. That is a very good point. He hasn't been going to the Pro Bowl for no reason. Bottom line is Ratliff is better than Rabach and is a dominant player. But Ratliff is probably better than 90-95% of the centers out there. That's like saying if Darelle Revis shuts down Santana Moss that you need to get rid of Moss cuz he got housed. That's what dominant players do. Now if Rabach gets handled by everyone else, then I'll be really concerned. But I am concerned about what's behind Rabach should his play not improve. I felt comfortable with Edwin Williams behind him if he had to play, I felt he could develop into Rabach's permanent replacement, not so sure about Will Montgomery. bulldog
Hartwig has the same problems Rabach does. He's 32 years old, is undersized (by current league standards), and isn't particularly athletic. His performance against Ratliff woudn't be any better than Rabach's. Look around the NFC East. Jamaal Jackson with the Eagles is 320 at center. Gurode with Dallas is 310. These guys are bigger and stronger.

Beans
Rabach sucks. Been sucking for years. Can't figure out why they extended him...We can't run the ball because he gets blown off the ball every freaking play. Dude is weak.
Duckus
Stick with Casey this year, draft a Center in a mid-early round next year.
bulldog
Again, agreed that Rabach is the weak link in the starting five. BUT, Hartwig looks a lot like Rabach in terms of his player profile. He doesn't bring the size and strength to the position vis a vis Casey that would make a difference to the team.
