The Full Monty
Even with Flacco developing, we all know the Ravens' offense begins and ends with Ray Rice and McGahee and McClain or whoever else they have trying to run the ball and set up some play action bombs. The Ravens have a young, solid o-line and this is a real test of how cohesive our new 3-4 look is going to be versus the run. This won't be Buffalo, a talent-poor team that was installing a new system under Chan Gailey. This is Cam Cameron's offense with most guys in their 3rd year in the system. These guys plowed through New England on the road last year and they've got most of the same personnel, albeit switched (Oher now left tackle, and they have a new RT since Terry left for the Colts. This is a team with a run-first identity. If we prove stout against the run, then we can say we've made some progress. If they do some big gashes and it looks like we're having trouble maintaining gaps and allowing unnecessary gains, we'll know we still have a ways to go. Chachie
If the Bills game were a regular season game I think we'd have been eaten alive by Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch all.. night.. long.
